Question marks...

Postby nuggety goodness » Fri Mar 11, 2011 11:26 pm

I'm tossing up a few blokes and always change my mind.... i'm sure i'm not the only one there!

My current side (for today) is as follows, question marks are bolded...

B: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio
HB: Gilbee, Otten, Coad
C: Selwood, Judd, Pendlebury
HF:Goodes, Reiwoldt, Pavlich
F: Varcoe, Franklin, Higgins
R: Sandilands, D. Swallow, Gaff
INT: B. Smith, Djerrkura, Fraser, A. Krakouer
EMERG
B: Buckley, Puopolo, Duigan
M: Conca, Heppell, Harris
R: Bellchambers, Keeffe
F: Gamble, Mzungu, Matera

I'm sure there'll be wholesale changes between now and round 1 so i'm not fussed who sees my side. plus i'm sure REB and Co will put me off many of these players as it is and steer me in some weird and wacky direction which will only confuse me more!

Worth some chat though i reckon!

So, thoughts?
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Goodes - fairly safe pick and should avg 90-100 for the year, although there is the theory that he starts a season slowly and winds up midway through to make him an excellent upgrade option. But with a lack of reliable forward premiums who aren't carrying injuries, he'll find himself in many teams.

B Smith - his injury would have initially seen him dumped by coaches, but it appears he got through the game against Richmond okay. Keep an eye on him, but if fit, he should get games.

Djerkurra - is a good point-of-difference (POD), I don't think many teams will have him and if he can fight his way into the first 22 ahead of Wallis, Liberatore etc, then your punt will have paid off.

Buckley - I would be surprised to see him play Round 1, but he is looking fitter than ever. Would probably take an injury for him to force his way into the side and even then I'm not sure he'll score high enough. A unique pick though.

I reckon Jerka is no chance of getting a game ahead of Libratore, Wallis or Moles. Gamble is also very inconsistent.
