People who are asked for their assistance on something, and they decide not to bother answering.

Going for a brisk constitutional walk around the neighbourhood at twilight.

... and promptly heading face-first into a freshly-spun spider web.

First is the instant recoil as you feel this thing leech onto your face. Then the mad dance as you jump up and down, brushing your hands over all parts of your body as fast as possible, to dislodge the spider which is now somewhere on your person. Then the slow methodical plucking of individual strands of web from your hair, your face, your clothes, your glasses....
Clowns OUT. Smears OUT. RESIST THE OCCUPATION.

1. The media

2. The media going ON AND **** ON about the World cup going on forever. Have you ever watched the soccer world cup FFS?

It seems to be a hangover from the previous WC which did drag out, but this one is great IMO. One game a night, sometimes two. I don't really understand the fascination with how slow it is.

The soccer world cup goes for 1 month and each team is playing regularly. The cricket world cup goes for nearly 2 months and teams are lucky to be playing 1 game a week.

Take Australia for example, the gap between Zimbabwe and New Zealand matches was 4 days (pretty much ideal). However, it was 8 days before they took on Sri Lanka, and now another 8 day wait for the Kenya game. They should be playing 2 matches every day. Most networks broadcasting the World Cup have the ability to show it on more than one channel/viewers choice. There's no reason to drag out the cricket World Cup this long. 4-5 weeks is an ideal length for a World Cup.

They could shorten the world cup but remember a one dayer is 100 overs which goes for a lot longer than a Soccer match.

But a test match is 90 overs a day for 5 days REB... 2 ODI games a week should be the minimum that a team plays in a world cup

Having the Big Bucket brushless carwash at Parafield malfunction today, while my car was in it - the sensors apparentely didnt detect my car, and the spray arm smashed into the door !!! The car was then stuck in there for 20 mins, while they worked out how to get it out.

The damage to my car isnt too bad (a crease in the door), but i have only had the car for 2 weeks. They are going to pay for it and were pretty helpful, apologetic and embarassed - still, i wont ever be using a car wash again.

Yeah, i do usually wash it myself but i was going past the car wash and it really wasnt that dirty - the brushless one seems to work fine if the car isnt filthy.

I was quite irate at the time, needless to say. The poor attendant copped a fair barrage !!! I have calmed down a bit now.
