Ahhhhh. Mmmm. PACOC (?) player Jack Ramsey (son of the famous Crystal Brook full back and pharmacist Rambo Ramsey) has been cleared back to the NAFA Roosters I believe

SE, if someone happens to make a statement that is worse than yours this year, I will need an ambulance because my sides will be splitting from laughter.
Snake, I believe you are talking out of your ar5e. You're optimism is commendable but is clouding your logic

Go easy on me boys, just calling how i see it.... :( I heard last night that Paul Higgs has done some ligaments in his ankle, and will be out for 6-8 weeks.... :?

Districts vs Salisbury was a good solid hitout. From a districts point of view, it was good for the boys to get out the cobwebs, few good efforts from clayton and 'buzza' mcdowell, the north lads have alot of new faces, and they are very young faces, the ruckman was on fire in the middle ALL DAY, and will be hard to stop, not sure who they were resting from thier forward line, but there it didnt really do as much damage as they should of. Districts have brighton bombers next before SMOSH. Better not get my hopes up again otherwise i get shut down harder and faster than than Charlie Sheen....

Strange that Modbury played a Div 1 club (Gaza) on the weekend, and now playing a Div 4 club (Elizabeth) this one. Big contrast in standards.

Was a good couple of hit outs for us on the weekend. The B/C 6qtr trial was a good hard clean contest and the kids got a good run against some bigger stronger opposition. scores were close and the last 2 quarters Gaza fielded a stronger side which our lads competed well with.

The A grade went as we expected but saw some good signs from the lads who have busted their ass off all pre season. Alot of blokes played out of position but good just to have game.

As for the strength of our side: we had some unavailable due to work, 2 were on holiday, one played B grade after off season surgery,(he kicked 6 goals) and some have a few minor niggles after a solid preseason. We had 2 16 year olds play and hold their own which is a credit to our junior structure.

We play Elizabeth this week simply because they asked us for a trial and have an oval available. We will no doubt field a stronger side and then have TTG before round 1.

And yes Shitfront we might get a win!

Will answer my own question now I have found out the result. Paoc beat Kapunda by a few goals, very good result and I think that they are trying to slip under the radar a bit with no body from there telling us the results. Where are you Jimmy? stuck on the treadmill :)

I think PAC and Uni's will be the benchmark this year, on last years results and whats been said on here about recruits and losses any of the other 8 sides could make up the finals. Tough comp and seems it may be not as easy to get back up to the top flight for clubs as in past times

Massive call! PAC to be the benchmark.... Please tell me on what realistic basis? This is div2 not 3, so last years results are meaningless, Athelstone and SMOSH a fews years back smashed Div3 and came up and struggles in 2's, they still haven’t played a div2 opposition yet, this will be a big step for them, let’s wait and see. I think Uni will always be around the mark and so will Rostrevor!

They might not be the benchmark but we will be seeing PAOC come the important part of the season.
Have picked up about 7-8 A graders, plus new lads from the school, only lost 1 or 2, 1 still a possibility to come back and they were already a cut above the rest in div 3 last season.
Uni will be the benchmark and agree with the ROCs being around there to. Think PNU will bounce back a bit aswell

Yeah your probably right, big call. I'm just going by the amount of inclusions as opposed to outs in what already is a good side from last year albeit Div3. Unis like you said will always be around the mark, I think a few of the other clubs have lost more than they have picked up, hence the call

I'm expecting PAOC to do well as they've strengthened last year's team with recruiting and their running style should match up well against many of the other sides in Div 2.
