I'd say I'm both...whether I'm optimistic or pesimistic about something depends on the circumstances. In very, very general terms I'd say I'm positive about anything concerned with those I care about and negative about things directly affecting me.

I also tend to take the Devil's Advocate position as my starting point about fashionable ideas.

As a Geelong supporter I'm a negative bastard. I waited for years and sat through demoralising Grand Losses and finally we get a good side. We win a flag but still somehow lose to an inferior Hawthorn side and now our star player and premiership coach **** off for the coin.

G'Day 'Dogger',
I'm more of a glass and a half kinda bloke.
I'm POSITIVE that Cadbury's chocolate is good for me,
but my G.P., Dr. Death, is very NEGATIVE on that score.
So I've decided to remain NEUTRAL and respect the status quo.
From now on I only eat vast amounts of chocolate when I hear
a 'Status Quo' song.
Can anyone lend me another album ?
I've worn out another 3 this week and I don't particularly like
Status Quo !
