I give them everychance to score the runs. They are a quality batting line up

Why does the league make such a confusion over Relegation and promotion. I know early this year I had a league executive say to me that if we were to finish last we would stay up due to having a young side I explained that was rubbish and if we did finish bottom we would had gone down. I dont want to play Section 2 but the rules say the bottom side is relegated thats what happens regardless of age etc. Morphies are a good example of how it should work credit to them.

I also saw a little of Port Noarlunga at the T20 at Southern good bowling side. Opening bats looked good didnt see much more they chased down a decent total rather easy cant say they'll have Tanner back anytime soon either good inclusion tho.

I agree with you mate with the relegation thing TL. Did ports win the t20 comp?

Yeah they won it. Each team had 1 Southern A grader in it Porties had Tanner hes unreal but from what I remember it was majourity of the Porties regulars that did the damage.

Tanner bowled some useful overs throughout the day but wasnt required to have a hit until the final... Made a run a ball 20 to steer us over the line but chased the 130 odd 2 down, with plenty of big hitters to come... But he was fantastic in the field saved a stack of runs thoughout the day at short cover and mid wicket...

He states all the negatives bout the club but he's one of the main insticators down there!!! Almost nearlly impossibe to captain him... Bitches and moans when it doesn't go his way. For example the year the B's played off in the GF he played the bare minimum to qualify for finals and in those games he contributed very little. He may have made a 30 odd...
He very rarely trained, but when finals came round he was there at training... As soon as the GF side was selected, and he missed out he carried on like a spoilt child! Even though he didnt earn his spot! And when we lost He bagged the captain, myself and everyone in the side!! That has stuck with me since. Not once was it said to our face....

The beauty of the internet is that people can have their say but in this case SE you are so far off the truth its disappointing . Just next time try to get your facts right !

For one you have never captained me ! The facts are that particular year i was ask to quailfy and as i start work at midnight i found it very hard to train. Second last game i top scored and after the game the words from the captain were "you'll be the first one picked". Missed the next game due to work and then he crumbled under pressure to pick a D grader who couldnt even walk at the time.

Yep i was pissed of at the captain and he knew about it but to come up with this garbage you have written is unbelievable. Sorry to bore people but having a licence to a key board doesnt mean you can just write pure lies !

I'm not too concerned about figjam, the club has moved on from the "childish blame game" some time ago, and if he wishes to continue with it he can do so outside of the club.

His comments are in no way constructive, and therefor his opinions on the club will not be sought by the club.

Balls is well & truly retired.
I love the way he used to keep wickets with the transistor radio in his ear listening to the races. He would stop the bowler during his run up to listen to a race if he had a bet on or a runner. The guy was a classic.
His on field arguments with team mates like Herb Cochrane, geoff George, Gordy Hay were legendary, although he saved his best for Geoff Hardy (and Plympton)!

Didn't see our last game against icc??

Big game for sheidow/morphys. Winner in top 8 and could avoid relegation if it goes to the 8 team comp
