Well that is why they won't show the 2nd, it will more than likely be shown on ESPN instead.

Couple of stats
Barca had 70% of possession and completed 337 passes in the 1st half

Arsenal need to get at them and not concede possession so easily. Too much respect

Arsenal 4 yellows in first half and keeper off injured so almunia comes on.
Second half could get ugly for arsenal

Messi penalty Barca 3-1
Ref hasn't helped with a very soft red card against RVP

All over Arsenal out
Outclassed tonight but fabregas clearly wasn't fit for this game, neither was RVP
Persies sending off which was piss poor, killed the game for the Gunners.
They just lacked ambition and Bendtnar missed a glorious opportunity to put Arsenal through late on after a super pass from Wilshire who was head and shoulders above the rest as Arsenals best.

It may have been soft but it was stupid by van Persie to kick the ball away like that, he knows the rules and let his team down there.

Arsenal did not even press the Barca players and allowed them to knock it around with ease. Bendtner had an excellent late chance but once again the arrogant tosser fluffs it. Barca should have killed the tie earlier but they decided to show boat and try and walk the ball into the net.

Did Arsenal even have a shot on goal?

Huge win for shakhtar, flogged Roma 3-0 and now into qtrs for first time.
Shakhtar have played 60 matches in their new stadium and are yet to taste defeat

Assuming he heard the whistle. it was timed at 1 second from the whistle going and RVP kicking the ball. Bearing in mind that there was 95,000 Spaniards also whistling

Bad decision IMO

Yes even though there were some interesting comments made after the game by Francis and friends, all game the players can hear the whistle fine so why couldn't he hear it at that specific time? Anyway it was a terrible shot on goal by van Persie and I don't think it had any bearing on the result. Barca were easily the better team over 180 minutes and will be hard to stop.

They are a quality team Shakhtar, won't be an easy opponent in the Quarters.

Roma did miss a penalty which would have made it 1-1 on the night and given them half a chance but you don't go through if you lose 3-2 at home. It looks like all Italian teams will go out in the first round which would be hilarious, no wonder their co-efficient rating dropped resulting in them losing a Champs League place.

Agreed Marty, Barca was the only side showing any attacking play and deserved the win. Whether RVP staying on the pitch would have made any difference to the result is anyones guess.

Can't see anyone else beating Barca except Spurs ;)
