We have three of our last four games at home, if we have a repeat of last years weather it could get very messy.

Ok ok it was me who voted for Henley in the poll. Couldn't have us sitting there as the only team with zero votes any longer! Call it blind faith!

Not sure on the final score as I don't think anyone took it but I think Trinity won by a kick or so. B grade was also a good hit out with TOSSERS getting up by a couple goals. Cheers to Hope Valley for the contest and good luck for the season. Hopefully we get the chance to play them for premiership points next year.

our box kept score just out of curiosity along with some of our kpi and we had it at hv 8-11 tos 8-2 but irrelevant as we got out of it what we were looking for, as i'm sure you guys did.
all the best for 2011 and i think you will be right in it at the pointy end of the season

Thought it was close but wasn't really sure. We were happy with what we got out of it. A good chance to look at our new players and expose some younger guys to some more competitive footy.

Is Scotty Matthews running around again for the Tossers?

He's going around again. Coaching the B's and playing in the A's.

I know Glenunga have reputedly recruited very well, but they finished 4th last year in Div 7. I think it was Quichey that said the jump from D7 to D6 is quite a large one and I agree.

Glenunga will be doing very well to make the 5 IMO.

Div 7 to Div 6 is quite a jump. You need to recruit at least four to five quality A-Graders just to be competitive. They'll be competitive because they've recruited well, but there are teams in the Div that already have that quality plus some. Glenunga finished fifth last year in Div 7 and the assertion that they'll be a grand finalist because they've added four or five A-Graders to that team very much underestimates the quality of the other teams that played finals in Div 6 last year.

morgs, you trying to push the odds out even further?
can see what your saying on last year but he was a new first year coach with a team full of new players
a year learning and bonding plus new recruits means that they will be better this year round.plus when looking at this division i think you will find the standard will be very even so the players they have brought in with the advantage of higher grade experience will be telling
but thats just my opion.have been wrong before and sure will be wrong again

I forgot to say snap!

Spot on though. All the best to Glenunga, they were going to be a dominate force in Div 7, to make the move to Div 6 was a brave and astute decision.

haha, nah mate, just think it takes more than a few nice recruits to make the jump from Div 7 4th to Div 6 Premiers. You are right though, the extra year with the new coach and players will help as well.

Put it this way, the Div 6 Premiers traditionally go on to do very well in Div 5. Do we thing Glenunga would be competitive in Div 5?

If Fitzroy do as some have predicted and have a horrible year and Glenunga play in this year's Div 6 GF, then Div 5 next year could be very interesting

to many good teams have failed because they got to far in front of themselves
