true and true

PARALOWIE 117

a.frith 48
holland 28 not out

crackers 5/40odd

MAGILL 8/119

kingsmen 45 (dropped 5 times all of the same bowler  )

norton 3/30odd off 7
holland 2/40 off 20
clarkson 2/40odd off 13

catches win matches and dropped catches lose matches! at the end of the 117 is'nt a good total in 20/20 cricket let alone a semi final but i believe it was enough to win this semi final but dropping 6 catches will kill any side and it did us today.

but well done to magill i wish the best the next week and i dont say this with sour grapes at all i honestly believe this i'll think they'll need plenty of luck to get over seaton next week.

[quote="Goat Herder"]Just for the record, I'd like to state that I've met some great Enfield people over the years and have full respect for those people, but the way the Club has been run in recent times is an abomination.

OOhh Herds..i had no idea you felt that way about me :p

i agree with you Carey..have always said that Seaton will be the team to beat this yr!!if anyone was going to knock them off in the GF it would have been your mob.

The only way Morialta will win is they bowl them out for 120 or under and even then i wouldn't put money on them to chase that down.

PS.20 overs is alot of overs for an old man ;) ..your body will sure will be feeling that tomorrow morning

both enfield teams lost today

well done to fitzroy c we were pretty much always behind in the game
and as someone wrote above catches win matches and we didnt bat well
plus fitzroys opening bowlers bowled quite well since we were 5/8
move on and improve next year
good luck to all playing grand finals next week

Div 4

Enfield v Fitzroy

Fitzroy 157, all out in the last over of day 1.
S Jupe 50
T Weidenbach 40
C Kennison 21

Very slow and large ground, so we were pretty confident.

Had the perfect start day 2, having Enfield 5 for 8, with Andy Carmichael on a hatrick when he bowled Johnsy first ball. But then Zac Hancock and D Hancock made a bit of a recovery and for a young fella coming in at 5 for 8, Zac batted very well. The tail wagged and all the Hancocks batted very well, but leading scorer was G Spence for 39 who hit some pretty big shots and had us worried towards the end, as the last two wickets were pretty hard to get. In the end Enfield all out for 122, which was a pretty good recovery after being 5 for 8.

Like always against Enfield the game was played hard but fair, with a bit of needle but after the game all shook hands and had a bit of a chat.

A Carmichael 19.2 overs 5 for 38, not bad for an old bloke in his first year of cricket
Peter O'Brien 19 overs 2 for 25, Enfield old boy, who was on the money all day.

Was a very important toss to win, as both of our opening bowlers didn't play the first week.

Not sure the guys name, but the umpire from Magill Morialta did a pretty good job too.

What a great day for us y'day...dominated the game from start to finish and peaking at the right time of year. One side of me wanted Lutheran to win y'day so we'd get a home GF, but the other side wanted to face off against Vi$ta coz lets face it who doesnt want to beat Vi$ta-the best side for a fairly long time-in a GF....Gonna be one hell of a game.
