Wow

Great stuff mate, I didn't even bother checking the score after England posted well over 300. I only found out the Irish won when I got into work so just read the last few pages of this thread.

Unbelievable win for Ireland. They should take England's spot at the next World Cup.

Those that call for the minnows to be taken out of the world cup should think again.

I did on the other thread, that's the thing about T20 & ODI's, it only really takes one player to have a stellar day and a couple to support him and presto...........an out of the ordinary win.

I thought Strauss was patronising Ireland before the game by saying 'they're a strong side'.

What a game last night. Great spirit by the irish, couldnt have saved it for a better team :D

Was that the fastest World cup century by o'brien? 50 balls would have to go close....

Yeah I think Hayden had the previous record which was 66 balls so he destroyed that.

Fair play to the Irish, brilliant display from Kevin O'Brien with the bat.

In Australia we weren't too bad with the ball, but the batting was woeful, seems to be a complete reversal at the world cup.

Adds a fair bit more interest to England's one match tour of Ireland in August.
