Is called "The Smashing Machine"...?

If so I reckon I have seen it on SBS a couple of years ago, very interesting...

Ditto.... (without giving the ending away) I wonder if he's still with that ch*ck?

On UFC127, if they were staging this card anywhere but here I wouldn't be that excited about it. Yes it's an average looking card, but I can't wait to see the reception that Sotiropolous gets from a home crowd. Go you good thing!

Probably why I'm keen to see this card.

Yes Quichey, 'we' can....

SPOILER ALERT

I said to a mate a few bouts ago that G-Sot would struggle against a really good striker. That proved a point.

Other major finding - Bisping is STILL a w*nker. Always thought it, and again watching 127 he proved it. Rivera did himself no favours by battling through after he was clearly hurt in the first. I think.... "THINK" Bisping spat in the direction of his corner. He should've been disqualified IMO.

Totally underestimated Ebersole. His was a major surprise.

How the hell did Fitch not win that?

Very much needed to beat a proven striker to establish himself in the Division and push for a title shot. Was disappointed he didn't try for more takedowns and in the end he looked very one dimensional.

Tad harsh on Bisping. Rivera was pretty over the top with his pre-fight comments about Bisping, which is why Bisping reacted the way he did. Doesn't excuse the illegal knee and probably should have been disqualified as it clearly affected Rivera.

Hairy arrow. Capoeira style kicks. All round unorthodox style. No wonder Lytle looked bemused.

I gave the first round to Penn. Second round marginally to Fitch. And the third was easily Fitch's round. Shitty result for the viewers, but makes for another good promotion in an upcoming card.

For an average looking card, the fights exceeded expectation and it was good to see Noke win his fight with a super slick submission.

Bring on the title fights!!!

Yes and no Quichey. Rivera was always going to be talking this up cos he's a nuff nuff. Bisping should've been above that - and now what he's said to all his future competitors is that he can be psyched out by the garbage talk before a bout. Dumb IMO. Bisping was right, Rivera can go back to the undercard where he belongs.

Bispings golden golly is true reflection on the piece of crap that he is. See TUF3. The kind of guy that would slander and disrespect the disabled. Bisping can lick my balls. Poor excuse for a human. Typical Pommy piece of Slime. win with humility and you win respect, you can even draw with humility...see BJ Penn. Bisping is a Knob. Dislike him so much. Having the need to spit in the corner of a no threat challenge like JR shows the world Bisping is a tosser.

The UFC have purchased Strikeforce.
Strikeforce will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary with Scott Coker still running it, at this stage.
Massive news for MMA fans

Is this a good thing for MMA... is a bit like the WWE buying up all the competition...

Surely there is room for more than 1 major organisation.. boxing has a few different controlling bodies as such: IBF, WBO, WBC, WBA etc..

The first impression for a fan is that we may get to see more of the best fighters outside of the UFC taking on fighters already contracted to the UFC, ie. Overeem, Fedor etc vs Velasquez, Carwin etc.

However, if you look deeper, it means that there will be a monopoly on fighter contracts and fighters may find themselves with less bargaining power. It may also make it harder for emerging talent to gain contracts. And, with profit being central, could we see more of biased fight schedules that favour promotability rather than form.

Hopefully with an increased stable of fighters to choose from it will mean an expanded schedule with fighters becoming ranked similar to the way boxing is...

Maybe a regional ranking system making it easier for fighters from regions like Australia to progress up the ranks to the big time
