I just played with the TUNA on my radio and heard this news.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

He'll need to keep his hands to himself too, and stop being a GROPER

Re: Would you like to see Fev play SANFL in 2011?
I am in two minds about this.
I remember being distraught when Adam Heuskes came to North after his AFL career ended prematurely. I was wrong. He was a fantastic short term acquisition until injury caught up with him, and he never put a foot wrong on or off the field. He turned out to be a marvellous leader for a young side
Fevola of course is higher profile (although Heuskes had been all-Australian). Could he do something similar?

IMO he would be a distraction to the other players, leopards don't change their spots I'm afraid.

No, despite his supposed indiscretions off-field Adam was a great leader and role model on field. Fev, regrettably, is not.

I haven't taken much interest in this topic, because frankly I couldn't care less what he does. So long as he didn't come anywhere near Sturt. But I couldn't resist it when I saw the name of the Frankston coach who apparently wants him there.

Rumour was that he spoke to Sturt a week ago but wants to stay in Vic.

Ah Simon Goosey. The name Victorians use to compare the likes of Ken Farmer with because they both kicked truckloads of goals in an "inferior league"

I never cease to be amazed by the preparedness of some people to risk everything for the sake of a premiership. I've seen many football and cricket clubs spend up big, win a flag or two, and then go into financial ruin as a result.
Fevola's talents include kicking goals, doing his own thing regardless of what the coach wants, and upsetting everyone else around him. As a huge fish in a small pond, he would be insufferable, but if Simon Goosey is deperate to get him, then I couldn't think of a more suitable surname for a person.

Queensland used to do that in the Sheffield Shield and it didn't get them anywhere.

Taking Fev on doesn't mean you want to win a premiership though. You might be doing it for the financial status of the club. To draw in members perhaps, I dunno.
Personally, I'd take him in a heartbeat.
In saying that, we're not going to win the premiership this year, nor next, nor any time soon, so to have the membership influx would be good for the club financially - it certainly wont fix any problems we've got - and I assume Goosey will be thinking the same. The negatives......obvious and massive (unless he does change his ways - current odds 100/1).
