Hence ever since i kind of just tap my bat in once over the line. Prob not the bet thing to do but its safer especially on grounds with patchy grass around the wicket.

Slide your bat on the pitch :?

and not on the concrete where it can hit the straps... done that once and the bat just stopped. hard to argue that you were in when your bat is sitting on the other side of the crease strap

"Outing" or attempting to "out" someone is an offence on here and usually results is banning, as is having multiple identities, so you are probably right.

thats fair enough, as the rules are there and should be read when signing up, but what about those blokes like myself that have multiple personalities?

To set things straight, its PV that is looking at turf. Reason being is that we are worried about the future of our association and with it diminishing in numbers of teams and clubs every season, we dont want to end up having to play in PDCA and travel to Two Wells every second week.
Call me a pesamist, but as Prez. i need to think about my club and its future. You would have to be blind Freddy to not see that as an association we are in trouble!

No problems mate, I could see that it was in good fun therefore I didn't take it any further, just have to reserve the rights for all on here, the last thing I want to do is get admin involved or hand out bannings, you lot seem to have a bit of fun and generally play fair on here.

I may be fantastically good looking, but i dont necessarily see the end of our comp. With the right management and leadership theres no reason why this comp cant rebuild.

I totally agree with you Auto. Thing is, where are these initiative's??

as one player pointed out, we dont even do Milo cricket.

We are doing absolutely NOTHING to increase numbers of players and teams or clubs
as an association. There are NO long term plans. I have been on the exec. and i obviosly have
talked to people on the exec. now and the only thing that is discussed about the future is the
carnivals. Thats it!!
Dont get me wrong- the carnivals are great and a fantastic thing about SACCCA, but i for one
would do anything to have our ass. back to the strong comp it should be. But when you fail to
plan you are planning to fail....

C'mon, i know the powers that be read this....get up here and tell me i'm wrong. make some use
out of this forum. Dont just sit there and report to the exec. what i'm talking about.....

Well the exec should be planning long term, organising who plays who on what date is only a small part of what has to get done....no long term planning = no long term future. Maybe the exec is made of the wrong kinds of people with the wrong skills?

look, the long term exec members have done a great job for a very long time, and i have alot of respect for these people, i have known Andrew Loffler all my life. i went all through primary and high school with his eldest son. I am not here taking an easy pot shot at the exec, But they have failed in having a long term plan, and now we are in a black hole that i'm afraid might be too hard to get out of.

We need a long term plan and guys willing to put their hand up and make it happen, or we have 5 or 10 years and we'll be down to one or 2 divvy's with six teams in each

Rita, what do you think i have been trying to do??

I am a current sponsor of the association and am quite happy to increase this IF the right model was put up. So how about YOU put up or shut up!
