Sorry D & O i am not stalking you and i generally like what you read but have to disagree with Lister, The man is a freak, could play and would have to be one of the greatest club men going around!!

Any club would be lucky to have him, and i would have thought happy to have him!!!

I agree on the skills part about Lister footy fan.

He won a Whillas Medal in 1998 - less than 10 years ago.

Destroyed teams then.

Bit toungue in cheek- played a bit with him early 90's very good player. Thought he had knee troubles- haven't seen him for a while but last time I saw him he wasn't sure if he was going to play much- obiously still getting a kick-

Whillas medal where does that come from?

Down and out you must be fairly old playing with Lister in the 90s and you say he is too old?

Whillas Medal is the Riverland best and fairest. He won it in 1998. A year when Barmera-Monash struggled, finished fifth in a six team comp - but well behind fourth.

ex player wrote:ocka has done very well with Barossa premiers last year
Before that he took Willaston to a GF
Both clubs were down and out until he went there
When he was at Kilburn he took them 2 fourths and 2 thirds
One kick away from a GF and in another played with 17 men for 3 quarters Plus all the political crap he had to put up with
Where are Kilburn now........Looking down the barrell and headed to A3
Daniel Thomas is going with him to Barossa

Ah, you did get 1 right. Thomas going to BD for $$$$$$$$$$.
I have heard kilburn have recruited pretty well, but under the guidance of ryan and russell dont think they have a chance. think ex players should know when to but out !

Met him whilst he was playing in the riverland. Very nice fella, exept when he flopped out his old fella in a piece of bread and asked me if i wanted a sausage sandwich .

On Kilburn I here daniel Thomas is heading up BLG way in 07- he will be a huge pick up for anyone up there

Heard that this will be occa's last year at BD. Has ben offered the sturt job next year as Duane Massey in now the footy manager and wants occa bad. McGowan onlt told he has 1 year...no finals = no job. Step right in occoner.

I would find it highly unlikely if Macgowan got the sack for not taking sturt to the finals in his first year at the helm. Firstly because he comes highly regarded and i wouldnt of thought Oconner was going to get a SANFL league gig!! How many coaches go from country to league without doing a small apprentiship with the Magoos??
