All Clubs Alternate Strip

Postby SDK » Fri Feb 25, 2011 8:32 pm

What is your oipinion of each Club's alternate strip ?
For mine .....

Norwood : Like it but only different at top and not effective against West and South
Port : dont need one and they will never lose the tradition of the prision bars.
Centrals : Probably dont need one but I did like the white one very much a few years ago
Glenelg : Need one for sure. I saw Yankalilla play in reversed gold and black sash and it looked great
North : The new one this year is great although the home strip clashes with no one and is second best in the League,
South : About time and look great !
West : Certainly need one but last years was terrible !
Eagles : The full yellow looks good but is that the only jumper now ? Hope so because it is better than any jumper they ever had.
Sturt : Dont need one as no clash but they need a new home guernsey to look like men not netballers.

The Eagles should get a decent home guernsey ,then worry about an away guernsey.

if glenelg get one, i believe we should but some glenelg stalwarts are dead against it, i'd think the one they used at prospect as the 1934 premiership celebration jumper a few years ago is the one to use (cue someone with a photo please) gold with the black V
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

You might have more success in a different jumper.

My opinion is that they are all completely pointless.... and I really hated Central's white ones -- they just looked like a team of umpires.

All to do with the fact the players hated it. Good on them for speaking up, it looked terrible.

I think it was the one from a couple years ago not the one in the 1980s that he was talking about.

I agree 100%. The whole "away strip" thing is straight from the EPL where clubs make squillions from merchandise sales and so they change their designs yearly to force the trendsetters to buy the current strip.

Its not EPL, most sports around the world do it. Im all for it, in fact I'd like a different jumper every year to collect! :D

Mind you Im not a big fan of the Leeds Rhinos away strip this year with pink in it!
