Or is their team going to be that good anyway?

They should be, I mean they were middle of the range in Div 4 last year... Oh wait, I forgot, we're talking about Glenunga

Damn you guys are too funny! Half of us had already come last year btw :P

And add me to the list of surprised ppl that Ingle farm chose to stay in Div 6. I'll add to that that I think its a brave and good call and hopefully things work out for them.

Ditto. In my opinion i think choosing to stay up is a bad move on Ingle Farms behalf. Believe this is an instance where pride is taking over, they needed to go down, they need to re-build, they need to learn to win again!

Kilburn few years ago made the same decision to go up a grade without earning it and look at them now, rapidly gone downhill! Not saying the farmers would be the same, i just think they need their 3 year plan or so and work on building up a solid foundation and playing group etc and then work their way up the grades.

Interesting to read in the local rag in the Salisbury Council that Para Hills Community Club needs another extention on their car parking area. Their membership has gone from 1600 in 2002 to 6500 in the current year. Guess which club had first dibs at the license for the rights for the pokies and so on back in the late 90s but knocked the opportunity back?

IF Glenunga have picked up all that they reportedly have and kept all they had from last year, they WILL make the Top 5 in Div 6 IMO, and from there who knows how far they'll go. Now with Paralowie out, they might get an opportunity.

I've heard Fitzroy have lost so many players that they have been relegated to Div 7.

Looking forward to the showdown (also known as the internal trial)

Likely no-one. What I have heard is that if Paralowie fold Div 6 will have a bye round.

Nope. We were told categorically that Paralowie haven't folded and if they are there will likely be a bye round in Div 6.

What I read on here is not what I am hearing from my sources at the footy club and the SAAFL.

Not sure if it's the case with Paralowie situation but SAAFL were telling North Haven that Smithfield were not pulling out and would be fine right up until Monday, I assume that was to give them as much opportunity as possible.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Couldn't tell you sorry mate. That was given to me second hand.

I think The Real Number 3 pretty much clarified what is going on in the other thread:

carey, you are a quality poster but everyone I have spoken to have categorically refuted the claims made in this thread.

Paralowie are still alive and kicking, have not folded, but are rather in some financial strife which they are doing their darndest to get out of.

Mitchell Park will not be given the option of staying in Div 6, even if Paralowie decide not to field a side in 2011. If that happens Div 6 will have a bye round...

Paralowie have until the 27th of March I think, that is when the doors shut. There was a meeting last night between members and the committee. We have until next friday, which is when the council meet??, to try and figure out how to save the club. Alot of phone calls are apparently going to be made today.

So there are signs of life, just not real strong ones

Definitely sad to see a couple of clubs struggling to exist in the higher grades, and it sucks that is causes unsurity in our grade. Hopefully things can be finalised soon and we can all be a little more "certain" of the future. Looking forward to seeing some of our newly made rivals in Div 7 again this year, and hopefully coming out on top of them! Shame for us that IF have decided to stay in div 6 it seems but really looking forward to meeting MP once again!! Round 1 is too damn far away!!!
