How's my situation? I switched to a CGU comprehensive car cover policy in April last year through advice from my bank. They said they would handle closing my AAMI policy when they applied the CGU one.
Noticed today AAMI are still taking monthly installments out of my credit card account. I rang CGU. I have a policy with both companies!
CGU claim they don't have the authority to close another company's policy. Apparently I can't claim from both companies though.
Now I've got to go about getting my money back from AAMI for about 9 months worth of insurance policy I didn't need! Ack!
