Hopefully you'll all stay in the comp, whether playing as a stand-alone Club or within existing C&CCA club/s. See far too many cricket clubs folding these days. :? All the best guys. 8)

wow, comiserations to Carey and your boys.

Is it as simple as not having a ground to play on?

Surely if you found another ground then atleast the cricket club could live on.

I'm led to believe the former mate. I don't think the govt. would take possession of the building because of a lack of numbers.. :p ;)

yes its a debt to the council so they taken back the building first i heard to form a soccer club but now hearing its to build units i dont know to be honest and at this stage dont really give a f@#k what the to just very sad to see a great club fold.

I know how you feel mate, well......sort of. Enjoy the rest of your season and your time their, I'm sure it's going to be an emotional day on your exit. Happy to chat with you anytime about it mate and trade a few stories.

You could keep the cricket club going by not having a club rooms like the Playford CC.

Means no over heads and very low costs to run.

Playford have a custom trailer which they have attached fridges and so forth as eskys. They have a deal with the Playford tavern a buy there alcohol real cheap.

Just a thought .......could give you a few numbers from a couple of Playford blokes to have a chat to see how they do it.

Probably not a great example with Playford folding themselves at season's end, but you could do something similar.

Playfords reasons are definatly not financial, they are probably one of the richest cricket clubs in the north.

Im tipping P$$$V in a close one, the winner of this game to win the GF.
Better be on your gaurd boys- real danger game for you though

In the other game it depends who plays. If Baldo plays then NEK. If not then
Fitzroy.
NEK have so many passengers in their side they should sell their bowling machine and buy a bus

And divvy 2, well go PAWAWOWIE!!!

Personally i think Teds just giving you ammo coz he secretly wants yous to fire up and win. Either that or he thinks fitzroy would be the easier side to play in the gf.
