Also, good to see another norfern suburbs team in the top tier, Eastern Park should liven things up abit!

Has got the goods mate, but he had a poor year last year, didn't play a heap of A grade. Lets hope his hair can play every game this year.

Lets hope its not a case of more hairspray than talent, good to see quality locals pushing through instead of imports.
How is broady going with the new points system?

Probably better to ask everyone else on here mate, we'll be fine but others tend to think not.

Good FWD defence there Shirtfront

I guess the only way it can be really answered is by how many players who are worth points (played A grade at another club etc) arent selected in the round 1 A grade side.

There are few other Div 1 clubs are in a similar position of having to fit their team under the 15 points (17 in Broadies case ;) ). The only issue with this is do the recruits stay around if they arent picked in the A Grade at the particular club they have moved to?

"The Dish licker" Tom Schlicker is a gun and highly regarded by Scotty Leal. Does seem to get under some teams gaurds as they concentrate on the Wintles,Squires and Hornhardts of Tigerland

Not sure if Marek Sajewicz and Rowen Prior have been mentioned as Salisbury North departures already, but they're off the Eudunda-Robertstown in NEFL, along with ex-Para Hills and Greenacres ruckman Terry Sleep.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Someone quoted that we have them first game there, would have thought that an early game up there this year would have been safe! Terribly ground after a couple wet winter weeks.

training on it tonight with cricket so ill be able to tell you how wet it is/was. It shouldnt be that bad, we have had heavier rains over summer and its held up fine. 3 weeks of steady rain in winter and its another story  takes all cricket season to get it up to scratch and then gets ripped up again 8)

I can tell you that at 5 tonight, the oval was fine, centre wicket still a bit wet. But I can also tell you that after 4 inches of rain in 1 day, officially 102 mm, you would be bloody under water as well. Same old story, cricket get it to a fine standard at end of March and the 200 games of football played on it over winter chop it up big time. Personally I think most of you are jealous that you haven't got 25 junior teams and the best junior set up in SA. Even Goody Saints knew where to go when after advice on how to re structure their juniors.

Mate, think you are missing the point. The standard of the oval was in question, not your juniors structure. The fact that nearly your entire oval is covered in mud by late June & July is the blight on the club, not your amount of teams. And our club has actually got a very impressive junior program thanks.

Let me weigh up what I'd rather. 25 junior teams wrecking the lawn or an oval to nominate for Burke's Backyard.

It's a tough one but I think I'll take 25 junior teams and plenty of mud thanks.
