Good to see Pulteney with 3 x Sides again but what has happened to Greenacres, Kilburn & Westminster C Grade Sides this year as Westminster were very competitive against us both games last season?

Yeah numbers are a little down on previous years with a few departures but still have 30-45 on the training track with the cricket season finishing soon we get another half a dozen or so. Think we have had 55-60 players over all train but not all at once so should be running 3 x Sides at Fitzroy in 2011.

3 x Trial Games coming up against.

vs Sailsbury West (H).
vs North Haven (A).
vs Brahma Lodge (H).

Any triple headers in that lot? Any C grade trials?

would the transfer be void now as there is no licenced club to go too?? how many of the Greenacres blokes actually had their transfers go through??

either way the SAAFL will have to give some form of leway to the clubs ANY of these blokes go too points wise.

i have to ask pag..with smithfield and paralowie folding..your stance on not giving any leeway of points to anyone no matter what..what if both of those clubs could survive but needed to go over the 15 points via heavy recruiting..would you agree with them going over points or folding? :) i know paralowies problems are $$ not players but smithies problems were definitely player numbers..

personally cant see how they can make a leeway for any club,as hard as that may seem. All clubs get 15 points to play with on any given saturday, end of story.

Smithfields problems never seemed to be A Grade lack of quality just depth and low B Grade numbers. So they wouldn't need to worry about the points if they were just trying to add numbers to the squads.

How many games did the players that left Greenies play? If its over 25 then they also don't need to worry about the points.

I understand Smithfield's problem was player numbers, but to be honest, I don't think it would matter in this case, because if the league gave Smithfield an extra 5-10 points right now I don't think you would find too many A Grade footballers from other clubs willing to head out there in the current climate.

And to Smithfield's credit, they don't pay players huge money, so that wouldn't be a carrot for guys from either clubs either. Also to Smithfield's credit, they've always tended to have very good junior numbers and I'm sure that's where their focus will head for the next 2-3 years to get their senior side back up and running.

And the Greenacres guys hadn't been cleared to Paralowie yet anyway I don't think, so 'officially' they are still Greenacres players until they are cleared elsewhere.
