I only know of As/Bs but I assume the CDs (combined) and 18s will play the same teams-

19th = Walkerville (Clipsal Weekend)
26th = Salisbury
----------------------------------
2nd = Round 1

Now I am not sure where they are being played but if what Pag says is correct I assume we would play Walkerville at home.

Hi guys. Guess i'll be chatting to you all a fair bit this year? Good or bad im looking forward to it. Seems as though Walkerville are playing more than just one Div 3 side? We have them on the 6th. Is there anything to gain by playing lower grade sides before the season kick's in. Not saying our clubs are of a lower standard its just you would think it would be better to play higher grades or even in same division.

It's an interesting theory marbles but we only got a gig against them at the last minute so I guess they may have been just keen for a kick in our case.... But either way we have played some higher divisions sides in the past and done quite well... I think we got very close to Modbury and only lost by a kick a few years ago when they were Div 1 or 2 and we were div 4 but then again we played a div 5 side in Elizabeth last year who gave us a towelling !! We have had some games against country clubs in the past but they just seem to lack something....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Some higher Div clubs tend to play a lower Div clubs to reward some younger blokes that have done a solid pre season and give them a shot around some of the A graders. We are playing Elizabeth this season in a trial then TTG and Gaza. Its not a true reflection of both teams however there is the incentive is there like we saw with GG to beat us and they played out of their skin. In the end the lads get a kick and a catch in match situations.

To all you GG lads, I believe a couple of our boys have organised a Gentleman's Evening for both clubs to start after the Twilight A Grade trial on the 26th. All are welcome to hang around that night, have some beers and look at what Gentlemen look at. ;)

May be a small cover charge at the door but will have to confirm.

Went to a gentlenmens night at Salisbury years ago Pag, when Robo was coaching your A grade, was a top night! I was still at Kilburn then and a heap of us went down there, we were all welcome. Was a good show.

Still will be a good show. The lads who are organising it did our show last year too and it got 120-130 blokes there, expecting the same this time, especially since you blokes have four sides as well!

Yeah calf will be fine, and thanks for reminding me of my level, I did manage to limp through to level 2, still some sort of record I believe!

You been out yet? I will be heading out next week now that they are back on tuesday/thursday night.

And yeah, not much chance of getting a pass out, might have to start a fight and get a walk out ;)

Right lads, after the A Grade at 5pm Saturday night, get the missus to take your bag and the car home and hang around for the Gentlemen's Night.

Is a good way to develop a positive relationship between two neighbouring clubs with good reputations on and off field.

I may even buy you a beer if you do stick around.

C/D grade very rusty mate, plenty of room for improvement for our boys. Cheers to the Salisbury lads for having us back at their club for what was a great night.
