1. LBJ (no need to explain)
2. Rose (a great stat is that the Bulls have trailed 13 times in the last quarter only to win..and it aint Ronnie Brewer winning those games)
3. Nowitzki (does it when the Mavs need and to keep shooting at 52%FG and better than 40% from 3 point land shows his class)
4. Howard (BEST Defensive player in the NBA without question, plus scores 22.6ppg at mearly 60%)
5. Wade (25ppg at nearly 50%FG to go with 6.8rpg, 4.4apg, 1.3spg and 1 bpg)
6. Durant (great scorer, but averages 5ppg and 1 rpg less in losses)
7. Bryant (just think he his starting to lose the step, but 25ppg, 5.3rpg, 4.8apg are pretty well his career ave, just doesnt seem to be able to lift himself AND the team)
8. Rondo (12.3 apg (league best) and 11ppg at better than 50%, plus add 2.4 spg (2nd in NBA) and 4.4rpg..if only he shot shoot from the line)
9. Amare (26.1 ppg, .507FG%, 8.6 rpg, 2.7 apg (way up on career of 1.4 showing his is FAR better at team offence and passing out of the double teams..I guess why wouldnt you double team him..who else will beat you) but 3.5 TOpg (up on career ave of 2.7)
10. Love (21ppg, 15.5rpg, .471FG%, 2.5apg..its just a pity the rest of the team are ******* shit)

CLOSE, BUT NO CIGAR

- CP3 (Assist/TO ratio is superior to all in the Top 10 assist/game apart from Calderon, plus throw in nearly 17ppg at better than 49%)
-Aldridge (What a month so far 29.1 ppg at nearly 58%, but wht can a player 6 foot 11 and playing for a team that CANNOT shoot get less than 9 boards a game??)
- Griffin (rookie who cares, he scores 23ppg, at 52% and grabs 12.5 rpg with 3.6apg..LAC just need more a third and maybe a fourth player who can play)
- Carmello (yeah hes good....but far from GREAT career 24ppg at 46%, 6rpg, 3 apg, 3topg)
- Gasol (he needs more involevment...nearly 19ppg on less than 14 shot attempts per game, plus 10.4rpg, 3.6 apg, 1.8spg and only 1.8topg...KOBE GIVE HIM THE BALL)

Not going to quote simply for space reasons.

I don't mind you having Rose at 2. I had him 5, so not like we are worlds apart there.

Love and Griffin I left out for the same basic reason: They don't seem to have improved their teams much. Clippers on a fairly similar winning % as last season without Griffin, and Minnesota just can't seem to beat anyone.

Howard I'm not so sure is clearly the best defensive centre at the moment. Bogut is up there with him now IMHO. Just Howard is light years ahead on the other end of the floor.

Chris Paul I don't think has it like he did a few years ago. I understand the support cast is a bit ordinary, but more ordinary than Phoenix who are 4 games behind? I also expect Phoenix to end up ahead of New Orleans. To me the great point guards of 5 years ago are all diminishing fairly rapidly now and being replaced by a new type in the Rose/Jennings mould that drive and score more than their counterparts used to.

Agree regarding Gasol. I think Jackson needs to reinvent himself a little bit as Popovich has in San Antonio and change where the offense is based. Gasol on the post needs to feature more and Kobe's array of pullups less. Might mean Bryant has to share the limelight, might cost him $$ as well, but it's the route needed to get the Lakers back into championship material IMHO.

Aldridge since Camby has gone down has been awesome, but his season stats just leave a little to be desired for a top 10 player IMHO.

It's far from clear between Bogut and Howard. Both are very good defensively. Helps Bogut be a good defender when he doesn't have to worry about offense much though. Lol.

The commentators were talking about how many players had left the jazz over the last few years, and here's another. And Williams is one heck of a player. They do pick up some good picks though, might even get 2 lottery picks from those two. But at some point you have to decide to start assembling a team to give the playoffs a crack. You can't just keep trading guys around for picks.

Amazing that D Will has been traded, I don't think he requested it either. Utah wanted to ship him out.

Chicago need a big last quarter, got one eye on the game vs Miami tomorrow so taking this one a bit too easy I think. D Rose will get them over the line hopefully.

Good to see Noah back though, had 10 rebounds in 8 minutes in the first quarter. Now has 15 boards and 8 of those are offensive.

Chicago would be filthy if they lost this game. With Miami on the horizon dropping this could lead to dropping 2 in a row, something you never want in the second half of the season if you're planning on being a contender. Rose and Boozer 11-30 combined from the field right now.

Bucks v Knicks is evenly poised at half time too. Will be interesting to see if the coaching staff decide to go for wins or working on the Amare-Carmelo chemistry in tight games in the next month or so.

That guy chases offensive rebounds like a meth addict chasing a score. He certainly creates havoc for the opposition. Probably a bit weak in most other aspects of his game, but good enough to provide something for the bulls.

He is an excellent defender and rebounder. Not great on offense but we shouldn't really need him scoring too many points, wouldn't complain if he scored a few now though.

Back to 4 pts thanks to Boozer.

Sacramento are beating Orlando as well.
