I'm sure there are plenty of clearances still to be lodged for some clubs. Though maybe Bays havent got them actually signed yet - this from the President:

"In order to be more competitive in Senior ranks, our recruiting team has been very active and have covered many of our deficiencies. I won’t mention all the new players as the list may alter before the season begins, but the signing of Ken McGregor – ex Adelaide Crow, has been a coup. Ken is involved in coaching at Glenelg so can only play for Encounter Bay when the SANFL program allows, but hopefully we can select him for half the games.

More players mean more depth, so players will have to be prepared to work hard to guarantee selection."

If I'm guessing right, I reckon you made a wise decision Outsider!

One of their recruits, Nick Williams, is out for the year already - tendon and artery damage in his hand after a 'run-in' with a broken bottle. I would imagine this puts the chances of Chris Gein playing there in jeopardy also - i know we havent cleared him as yet.

Not sure what reason i have to cause trouble ??? Im 100% right with Nick's injury, will be lucky to play a game this year.

And Chris wasnt cleared as of last week, he was having second thoughts about the whole thing to be honest. If he has been cleared since then, im not aware of it.

He was cleared on Saturday, well done...

Pretty good recruiting by EB, after ringing 80% of our players - both Williams and Gein have a habit of 'going missing' during seasons, either on holidays, or something else. Obviously done your homework...

My initial post wasnt a stir either, but if you want to get defensive and play that way then all good.

I heard it may be at Victor with his mate Ian Sumner, who is also back there.

Ray in the RMFL as far as I've heard.

Interesting Johnny.......Ian was at the victor training camp on the weekend and at training last night, must have decided that today.

As for Owen, his name was mentioned but he's played out at the bay before so would suggest he'd go back there, one thing you're right about though Johhny, will be a handy pick up.

They'd probably make points pretty tight at Victor. Would they be zero pointers at EB?

There is a clearance in for Sumner to Victor - yet to be approved.

i dont think so but he could prove me wrong . struggled to get in the bay a grade when they were only middle of the road so it would be hard for him to make victor s really strong side

Hey LF - just talking footy to a workmate and Andrew Hank's name came up and remembered your post above.

How come he will be a zero pointer? I believe he played Div 1 reserves for Henley last year (only a couple of games though I think) and I see he played 9 reserves games for the Eagles in 09.

cheers
