Over heard in the bridgeport today a few more lads from the bridge heading out to peake and straight away i was thinking how big is the cheque book out at peake?

Much to my shock i then heard them say there not going for money more the fact they have wanted to go out there for a while were just waiting for peake to put a side together it must be as good as they all say it is.

when is it all going to end carey or are peake just going to keep recruiting? points must be very low by now?

Have heard numbers of around 20-27 being available to clubs in the Mallee, this is unconfirmed at this stage, but if correct, then the points system is a joke, & more to the point the CFB is a bigger one! We all understand the Mallee is in trouble, so dont use the system at all Now everyone's going to jump up & down & say "Oh that makes our players zero pointers" to neighbouring leagues, but the greater thing to remember here is, that every other league in the state is then essentially zero pointers to you guys aswell. Why is SANFL or CFB affilliation so important, I bet the players dont give a crap

i believe peake get 20-22 points this year but not 100% sure. BUT if you look at the big picture peake are 2 hours from the CBD with a population of about 50 people and have got 8 of the last 11 woodern spoons is that not just to get 20+ points?

mate i get what your saying but to be honest my expectations were high for peake in 2007 and again last year in 2010 and peake finished bottom both years for 3 wins each season! hence my expectations being very low this year and should something come of it that would be fantastic.

BDT dont need to pick any up' KAROONDA have picked up a heap, MURRAYVILLE are my dark horse's for the flag as they've picked up some real quality, PINNAROO were one game off a grand final last year also have a nice list and with LAMEROO having walker as coach and a real good crop of jnr's coming through who knows i expect a very even season in the mallee.

Yeah, I hear what you are saying, in 2009 I had high hopes for my club only to go down in a screaming heap, loosing the first elimination final in embarrassing circumstances - so I can understand not wanting to get carried away.

You blokes seem to have a lot of recruits every year for not much success, so I suppose it comes down to quality over quantity. In any event, you guys would be loving the numbers you have been getting out on the track. Reports of over 40 blokes out at your Murray Bridge trainings must be encouraging.
