You could be right Dutchy, I read it that he was copping a bit of a bag-bashing from the hard ride of the tinny, but I could be wrong. :?

Mrs OB is fully aware of his fishing addiction and enjoys fish'n herself, so didn't even think of that possibility.. ;)

Not officially mate. Let's just say the draconian requirements placed upon the organiser/s of the comp by the powers that be has significantly reduced enthusiasm & motivation to run it again.. In a nutshell, TFH! ;)

very good OUTRIGHT win by 9man paralowie today and word has it enfield beat magill  paralowie may well of just earnt a home final against magill

CENTRAL MISSION 93

PARALOWIE 171
a few 20's and 30's from NORTON,M.FRITH,CLARKSON and VANDERBYL who finished not out

CENTRAL MISSION 153 (i think it was)

NORTON 6for
HOLLAND 2for
FRITH 2for

WRIGHTY batted well for 50odd and a big bloke down the order slapped a 40odd

which left paralowie needing 76 off 17 overs

PARALOWIE 2/78 in 13 overs

M.FRITH 40 not out
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Rose Park made 234 chasing Adel Lutheran's 304. Nearly wasn't a start due to the wet and slippery pitch and when Lutheran's opening pair of Nitschke and Brien crashed to the concrete in the first 3 overs of the day things weren't looking good. Fortunately there were no other incidents and the pitch dried out considerably during the day. We were behind the eight ball from the start with the rain making the oval a lot slower than the previous week, but with Lutheran's massive score to chase down things were always gonna be tough. An old Gepps X team mate of mine (15 years ago  ) in Brien took a few wickets for Lutheran including an old hack who chopped one on, but they all chipped in with wickets as they did with runs last week. Phonno made a 27, Clarkey hit a crisp 34, old hack got lucky with a few and there were odd contributions from some but the monumental score was too challenging to run down.

Good Luck to all the teams in the finals, and I'd go and watch to see if the great man Smasha returns but have a couple of weddings the next two weeks  Thanks to Rose Park for giving me a game so close to home and for putting up with me for the year. Time to bring out the footy boots ;)
