"Hey mate. St Kilda got rid of it's sandhills 160 years ago. You don't need a 4WD here!!!"

I see what ya mean, I drive a big 4wd but go away at almost every opportunity in it.
Its funny seeing the rich snobbie people on my way to work in either a land rover, discovery or prado and you can just tell that they never use it to go away. Doesnt effect me as much as I can see past them but it used to piss me off when I had a smaller car!
Unfortunately there is nothing you can really do about it.

Funnily enough, I pulled up at the intersection of Kensington and Glynburn roads today only to realise that the 3 cars in front of me were 4WD's as were the 2 behind me and the one next to me :?

Its not just pretentious try-hards who buy these vulgar monstrosities - I mean everyone know traversing speed humps definitely requires locking in the hubs and those pot hole in the bitumen really require some off-road expertise only available in a hulking great big wankmobile
I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.

So I live and work in the country (up here in the Southern Flinders where half the roads we use are dirt) and I have a 4wd industrial strength ute and a regular 4-door sedan. Are you guys saying that if I come to town in the ute and swan around picking up stuff you are all going to sneer at me as a pretentious wanker from Kensington?

Hilarious !!!!!
Anyway I have to go. Gunna jump in the ute and scream down through Port Wakefield and drive around Burnside Shopping Centre car park with my three R's and an A (Raybans, Rolex, Reeboks, Akubra) on and see what I pick up. Well, since Ms SP is bringing home the curry's I might wait until tomorrow morning.

Rocket surgery mate, rocket surgery. All you would need to do to be identified in Burnside as a bushy is drive into the carpark with a ute. Bet it's the only one there.

If your 4WD looks brand new. Doesn't have a speck of dust on it and has a PAC or Annesley sticker on the back window probably. ;)

Ditto for Raybans, and Rolex have always been too flashy to be acceptable in decent society.
PS: I've driven a tray top Suzuki I used to have into the Burnside car park in the past without it causing a disturbance, or even raising an eyebrow.
