Its a game of soccer Sam, how did you NOT expect that kind of crowd behaviour? And especially from Melbournians

I've been to 22 games this year, and the only trouble from the crowd was the 4 times to Melbourne.
no other teams supporters would behave like that having just won the GF.
only 3 arrests out of 55,700 also (1 was hilarious 2.), wonder how many @ the 20/20?

Just flicked over and saw a bit of the replay on Fox 2, i obviously didnt wanna watch too much of it but turned it over in disgust when i saw the behaviour of the Adelaide utd side after conceding the 4th goal...sure they copped a bad decision and they were frustrated but you do get bad decision in sport lads and as hard as it maybe you have to accept it...no other word can describe how they acted DISGRACEFUL!!! calling an offical a F@#king Cheat on national TV does not show your club in a good light... no wonder otehr teams hate AU...and it starts from the top!!! Action should be taken if not by the League then by the club itself...im very dissapointed.

FFA have already said they will be looking into a few incidents during and after the game.
in particular Aloisi and Veart, IMO they deserve what ever they get.

its very easy to jump on the bandwagon and get stuck into everyone for yesterdays drubbing, i admit i dont follow the a-league as a passionate follower but get caught up in the hype by the media coverage and natural parochialism has me barracking for united(by the way wedgie there is no way you can compare au to power or the crows, completely different set up) however a couple of things stick out like the proverbial to a casual observer here. 1.kosmina's behaviour during the year is not what you would expect of or accept from the coach of one of the leagues leading clubs his, demeanor and lack of discipline on a number of occasions has left a lot to be desired. 2. though i have not seen it but from all reports aloisi's dummy spit in an after match interview smacks of sour grapes especially after receiving 2 yellows. claiming he was innocent when geting the first one, doesnt excuse him from getting his marching orders - another case of poor discipline. From where i sit the hierachy have to jump on this quicksmart and maybe kosi's behaviour might be better off served in sydney, as for ross a swift kick up the arse might do the trick.

Have to say i've been going to Footy Park as a Hawthorn supporter since 1991 in both members and the outer. I've never had any trouble at all. I've also been with friends who support other Victorian clubs and again no trouble. I go decked out in my club colours (yes they're awful) and i'm am pretty vocal so it's not like i hide away from the Crows or Port fans.

I too have plenty of family and friends that live in Melbourne, for many years they were scared of by the Newman hype that footy park was not kind to visiting supporters.......

Anyway, few of them finally made the trip and it's an interstate game they never miss and they feel footy park is one of the less threatening venues

Perception is a powerful thing

Did anyone else see Ross Aloisi on Channel 9 news monday night?

FFS take responsibilty for your own bloody F^*&ing actions
He is making an absolute fool out of himself, five times he said the red card was soft and Muscat did this and he did that. Your actions were reckless and stupid at least admit to the fans it was your mistake and you have learnt from the incident.

I have never heard a team complain about the referees so much in a game which they lost 6-0, thats about a thirty goal drubbing in AFL. Please Adelaide United stop whingening about refs and cards and tell the people how your going to make sure this effort will never be repeated.

Also Sam is spot on the money with inner fighting, but it's not just between players and coach. After speaking to one of the players today who is a mate of mine, either the coach or the assitant will have to go. Once Aloisi was sent off it was just mayhem all the players were confused as to what was offical tactics and plans from the manager and what was just the assistant shouting out crap as he does per usual.

There was a blow up at half time with a player told to come down to the changerooms in the break because he wouldn't be going on at all, only to be blasted by manager for not being on the ground warming up becuase he was coming on straight away.

There will be changes at AU

Well said!

I've only seen the incidents once (and only ever will lol), but whilst I felt he was a little stiff with his first booking, the point is whether the decision was just or not, you are only 1 further card away from a premature end to your day ... Surely you don't have to be Einstein to work that out, and you MUST expect more from the teams onfield leader!

Says a lot about a person when they point the fingers at others and make excuses rather than just accepting their own mistake imho.

Ross Aloisi's attempt to defect attention away from his lack of discipline...failed miserably.
Ross, you let down your team mates, the club and every Adelaide United supporter.
As Constance_Perm and others have said, once your on yellow you have to be twice as
careful in tackles...not bloody lose it.

Does anyone know what the coaching contract situtation is with John Kosmina? Is is year by year or
how many years is he contracted for?
