I have a wild and radical idea, that will either be "poo-pooed" or celebrated...

We have the Ravendale Community Complex, which is for Tasmans FOOTBALL and CRICKET, and for PT LINCOLN hockey.

Boston FOOTBALL Club have forged a tie with Boston Netball.

We have the Wayback Football and SPORTING Club, which I believe includes their Netball side.

We also have the Marble Range Community and Sporting Club, which I believe holds both a Football and Netball capability...

With all of this lovely togetherness, and all the massive changes coming over Pt Lincoln FOOTBALL, can't we go one step further?

Something along the lines of a Port Lincoln Sporting Association?

Something, whether it is a committee, board, or similar, that holds absolute power over the individual entities, with "League" Presidents as delegates?

This would eliminate last year's "common ticket" fiasco, or the issues with charging Complex spectators for entry when they are seeking a meal?

"One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them, one ring to bring them, and in the darkness bind them."

If there was a group of respected sporting identities to oversee the smooth running of PORT LINCOLN SPORT, then the many hassles faced in previous years would be gone.

We would all be under the same authority....

Just an idea, for those amongst us with power to make changes...

All well and good but which netball club is going to align with the peckers?

Would you need courts at each football ground?

Thank you OLD SON...

T07, my idea doesn't REQUIRE footy and netball clubs to align, I'm just using the examples that with clubs beginning to get together, why don't the different sports get together?

What are they? Stop feeding the other Leagues food for the idea that PL sport is in ruin.

It seems that there is an annual battle between footy and netball over tickets etc.

There's Tasmans seeming to get nothing out of Ravendale, because it all seems to go to Hockey, or the Ravendale debt.

Baseball also happens to be a part of Ravendale, yet they have a shoebox of a clubroom.

There was an unbelievable stink last year when we had the under 17's interleague, KINLOUGH and PEDLER Cups, and the fact that a "common ticket" could not be sorted out between PLFL and PLNA.

PLFL allowed people who produced the netball ticket to enter the footy at no cost, as had been verbally arranged, and people with a football ticket were refused entry to the netball, unless they paid again...

It's little things like that... SMALL issues, that make PL Sport seem like a basketcase, and I don't think it should be THAT hard to solve the issues...

Oh yeah, and PLNA would have had no issue if the KINLOUGH got played at Ravendale though...

Thats the sort of thing we continually come up against. Like butting your head against a wall.

Didn't the Kinlough cause a stir last year. I wonder of the gun will come out next time and be put to our head again.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Centenery will be a no go, the rest should be right with the hard wickets. Depends on how much rain we get tomorrow.

Baseball has been cancelled for tonight

Are the rumours true that Waybacks have picked up a Sturt cricketer that bowls 150 km per hour?

wasn't 8 colts bro, but Vladge and Col batting together wasn't exciting...

Steve Rees (24) and Jaykob Gooder batted pretty well (both are 16), and Gooder was good in the second half of the field, couple of nice stumpings...

Charlton flogged us in the A's, no surprise though...
