Why don't Uraidla starting recruiting North Adelaide's junior grade's cast-offs? It has served their A Grade well over the years!

Word from the TV camp is that they have a better side than last year. Part of this reason would be because Billy Neeley has been training.

Not sure what happened there. I cant see them goin back soon chopper, they should perform well. Can anyone tell me when and where trial games will be held. I'm keen as to be watching footy again, and the hfl should be great again this year.

So far clearences from TV to Pt Districts include Gunning, McDowell, Clayton, Smitheran and Smith x2. From that only the first 2 are signifficant loses who i say would be replaced by Neely and L Ellis, add D Ellis and Hunter and they could be a as strong as last year. Interesting to see if the Byrne bros follow or stay for the cash. Word is Josh Hill may stick around for another year too

if the same relagtion system is in place as it was last year then i think they are every chance of headin back sooner rather than later, as their bs will struggle and they will be struggling to fill junior teams unless they start paying players from all grades which will just be silly!!

They would want to be pretty strong, because i recon the cost of the 4 inclusions mentioned per week is probably more than what most clubs spend on ther whole side including best players.

Money is easy there though! The Ellis boys wouldnt be there for under $1200 game each, Neely in excess of $1500 and Hunter I do not know, but by the talk on here he is good enough to command $1000 at TV! So those four alone = $88,200 for 18 games! Wow

I dont know much about TV, besides the Money talk we always hear on here.

My Question is what are the bottom 10 A Grader Players like at TV?

These "gun recruits" that are talked about will be pretty well matched by most teams in Hills Central since the 'Top 5' players for the each team (especially the top 6 or 7), IMO, are pretty much of the same calibre for each club and usually cancel each other out. Its the lesser know players that make Uraidla, Barker etc better then the others teams.

From the few games I saw Torrens Valley play last year in the country, there last 10 A-Graders won't be very strong compared to that of the Uraidla's, Mt. Barker’s, Blackwood’s etc.

Realistically some of them would be better playing B-Grade and they will need a big improvement if they are to challenge the top-teams in the Central Division. Also I have a question mark over there game style, it relies on the 'good players' too much and if they don’t have a good game, then they are in trouble.
But it will be interesting too see how they go now that they have come-up.

Sorry to the Blackwood people for bringing this up again, but where did this rumour of them paying junior players come from??

It was started by some of the players from different clubs (Mostly Ironbank, Hahndorf and Mt Barker) when they gained the services of some of the best talent in the competition and the Blackwood players just went along with it because they though it was funny and knew it was a load of b******t.

And I think it was mentioned about a week ago (by Newsbreaker) that there was big movement out of the Blackwood Senior Colts and that Daniel Philp was moving Flagstaff Hill. This is completely wrong, with all eligible players back-on board for the 2011 season with a couple of extra pick-ups. So Blackwood should remain a strong contender for September honours.

Also I was at Blackwood Seniors Training last night, and they were looking really strong. There was a turn-out of 40+ and the new recruits looked really good. There were also a couple of new players that looked quite handy but I didn’t know who they were. So they should be around the mark yet again…

how are other teams looking at this stage of the year? are there any that are still trying to fill gaps in the line-ups?

Round 2 (April 9th) Ironbank v Mt Lofty *night game* at Ironbank.

Ironbank also travel to Hahndorf for a night game in Round 8.

Can the 2011 draw be viewed anywhere, because I certainly can't find it on the HFL website?

So what do Bridgy and Ironbank think about the new rule that the boundary line has to be 4m from the fence/box/immovable objects etc?

More importantly, what do the other clubs think about having to play on the ovals now that they'll be even smaller??
