ha ha, nothing to do with the so called money tree at pnu FC. And by the way there financials are still in good cond :)
as for the mead factor, well I won't go into too much depth as it was only an issue or some, not all. I guess though when one or two come back it can spur others into coming back too, as has happened here. Which makes it pretty good timing I guess

That is correct so SHOC's probably won't have to much counting to do.

I'm sure there is at least one person at each club that can count and add up to 30 and will be able to work out if they are over or not. I think we need to let these clubs worry about how their side will line up each week in order to stay under the points. I'm sure the coaching staff of each club are well aware of what they're able to do.
I'm sure the broadies posters on here would also agree that this topic is getting a bit annoying now.

Well if you want to come up with something else that's relevant to the competition, interesting and topical - feel free and I'm sure we'll all talk about it.

If everyone keeps posting about it, then it's obviously what they want to talk about which is why this is called a "forum"

i agree with you totally that the actual points system is topical, but not question of how certain teams are fitting their recruits under the cap. all players have their values and therefore can't be hidden, and so i'm sure, as i said before, the clubs know exactly what they can afford to recruit and what they can't.

heard that Gaza may have too many 'B' graders and will be cutting a few players from their squad. was their recruiting of fringe players a bit heavy? or is this not the case?

Think Gaza has been buying in the wrong type of players for the last few years. The addition of Klemasz, Radetti etc will not strengthen their midfield. A lot of these recruits have been outside receiving type players over the years or show ponies. Good to see some returning to the fold but in some cases their egos are bigger than their ability. Will be interesting to see if all the action in the off season sees them play finals again.... or if they are headed for relegation?

I disagree. Radetti and Klemasz will strenthen the Gaza midfield considerably. And they are both not 'receiving' type players, Klemasz especially is an in an under type rover. Time will tell but I would be beyond surprised if they did not at least play finals this year.

Klemasz definitely a very in and under player and former B&F winner at gaza I believe, would not be complaining if he was coming into my team, Chris is a quality player and leader as well.
From these ins and the numbers reported at training can't imagine gaza not playing finals this year and expect there b grade to be higher up the standings than the last couple of years

Having a beer at the local on Sat after work, saw the Broadview boys running around the streets in some sort of race. Surprised in the look of the boys i saw, quite young, but solid bodies. Maybe recruited better than i thought.

D.Gentilcore - played A grade last year
J.Boxer - played A grade last year
not sure about his brother...

Hope Valley:

G.Baust - played A grade last year.

Sorry FC arent Div 1 A Graders ;)

Tony Scott as well as few others.

Also Bausty would only play as a tagger IMO, fit and strong but skills let him down and decision making

Apparently dylan olive hasnt been let go by TTG as he has a year on his contract and Kev is holding strong? same with one of the Williams?

I think you may find that some of the guys that had supposebly gone to golden grove may well be coming back to TTG

Klemasz, would certainly at his age now struggle with the pace of A1
would come into his own when the ovals become heavier though

at his age??? he is only 29 years old. plus he won the div 2 medal last year, he never drinks, looks after his body, and keeps very fit. I seriously doubt he will struggle to keep up.

Absolute crap. You don't have to be super quick to play A1s, there are plenty of plodders playing A1 especially at Henley the best A1 team at the moment.
