How many batsmen out there would average less in first class cricket than T20? Maybe he should think about going the blaze in the first overs he faces and then slow down from there. Might look like a goose half the time, but he does something right in T20 that he does wrong in first class.

The worry for me here is that the guy is over 30 and unlikely to improve. If he doesn't get the job done by the end of the year, they will have to get someone else up there.

Oh, and Pollard isn't in the higher T20 than first class average club if anyone was wondering.

Good return to first class cricket by Jake Habberfield after a number of injuries since the 20/20 champions league. 3/52 of 15 overs he has picked up a yard of pace in the off season and is continuing to develop nicely.
