Oh I agree 100% because he would be a very good PM. I suspect your "endorsement" quiche is all about left cynicism but that's okay!

X2. For a start Turnbill is living in the same century which is a bonus.

One thing I will say for Abbott amongst all this. At least he has learnt to shut his mouth. Remember the good old days when Abbott use to speak without thinking.....

I thought youtube was media and encouraging posters to look at how youtube reports on Abbott might have been relevant.

Tony Abbott fought the entirety of the last election on quick easy to digestive sound grabs just made for the likes of commercial media and You Tube.....Stop the boats, Less government waste, no new taxes....etc. All slogan and no substance. When the same organisations are used against him he can take it on the chin like the man he (allegedly) is.

Not quite, Darth. The above presumes you are right in what you say and others spin it to something else.

The reality is:

You state something as fact.

Others point out it's not fact.

You move on to your next inaccuracy and excuse your nonsense with spin.

There are some pollies who are very good at making their point without rhetoric. Like them or not, Mark Parnell springs to mind and so does Nick Xenophon. When they have spoken, you are absolutely clear on what their point is.

I'm starting to feel sorry for him now I know that.

I am the first to admit I don't follow politics closely enough to claim I know anything but can someone please inform me how many of Xenophon's hair brained schemes/stunts have actually resulted in any change whatsoever?

I understand not everything is going to change but he strikes me as the type that makes a spectacle about something and then once the initial interest and publicity dies down he moves onto his next crusade.

I know for a fact his views on gambling would differ vastly to that of one of his close relatives.

Just my opinion.

Also interesting is where he gets some of his funding from, considering he has stood for many years as teh "no pokies" mp. if you ever meet him ask who paid for his legal fight with the North Adelaide Football Club over their sefton park venue.
