i reckon the last neutral match i went to was south africa & sri lanka (i think) at the adelaide oval & the admission price was heavily reduced compared to an australian game, i reckon i paid $15.00 to go, i know it was a tuesday in january but no idea of the year

I like the tri series if it is going to be this long (anything more than 3 games), and would take Spelly idea of half price tickets for non-Aussie games and would it be such a bad idea to use some regional venues (as done in the World Cup)

I was feeling like this the last couple of years, but this year's series has had me looking forward to every game and captivated by most of the cricket. Perhaps it is in response to the contintual juggernaut of 20-20 cricket.

The idea of using regional venues is an excellent one, and could really help promote cricket in some struggling country areas.

The tri-series suffers because the same teams don't come back next year to try again like a footy premiership. An idea might be a tri-nation series similar to the Rugby Union every two years between Aus, S Africa and NZ, with home and away games. Perhaps 5 games in each country against each team, and then a best-of-five final. Potentially 15 games, but could be held from Nov to Feb. Every two years might give it a bit more meaning.

The last game ended up having one of the biggest or biggest crowd attendance in Perth
It also gave me something to watch on TV
So for the public and myself playing a 7 game series is OK
The ACB makes $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
The players make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

For the players it can take its toll playing too often

Most of the time the ACB take care of the touring sides accomodation and travel etc. They weren't getting the money back through the gates. They mean nothing anymore unless there's at least half a dozen teams vying for a cup or something
