For those who want to play in some good tournaments at a reasonable time of the day, there are some Australian & NZ only tournaments every day..

There are 3 divisions

Div 1 - is a $5 real money buy in, freezeout tournament, starts at 6.30pm daily.
Div 2 - is a free entry rebuy tournament. every rebuy cost $0.10 REAL MONEY. starts at 6.45pm daily
Div 3 - is a 2000 play money buy in freezeout tournament, starts at 7.00pm daily

You also get leaderboard points for a) playing b) finishing "in the money" c) finishing in the top 10

There are monthly cash prizes for the top 100 in each division

More information can be found on the PokerStars website here

Thanks to the 12 club members who have filled out the little Q&A i sent out.

Play Money vs. Real Money is so far split about half half

Tournament is beating cash games about 10-1

Start times are mainly from about 7-8ish

Texas holdem seems to be the game favoured by 99% of people surveyed..

Days of the week are varied, but there seems to be some interest in a mid week game, and of course the friday looks like a winnner.

Out of the people who play real money or are willing to, there is some interest in a tournament with a bigger buy in, maybe once a fortnight or once a month.... Could be a fun way of getting a little bit more serious then the Play Money we all love..

For example, if we do a $10 + $1 tournament and somehow get 15 runners, 3 will be paid. with a prize pool of $150 that means that 1st would get $75, 2nd $45 and 3rd $30.
For a bigger buy in like this we could start with a bigger starting stack, longer levels etc, but that then does make the tourny longer for those time poor.. Possibly the night before a public holiday could be the way these bigger tournaments may to get some more runners.

Ive created 2 Hump Day tourneys for tomorrow night 7-30pm, given there seems to be a want to have something on midweek

One is play money 500 + 30

the other is $1.00 + .10c real money game

If you guys want a higher buy in on the real cash tourney please post it and then they can be set up according to the wants of members

its pretty bloody good.
the overall game play and quality etc is very good.
i mainly jusy play real money tables and the occasional tourny on there.
the real money is good coz more ppl take it serious coz its real money.
i dont play the play money section to much anymore coz the idiots who just go all in every hand.

if ya havent tried it its definately worth having a look see.

i usually play 10/25c
but if all those tables are full i go to 25/50c
nothing too massive.

theres some real good players on there.
i know the rules and everything but im still learning how to play the game properly with raises n bluffs and when to fold the biggest one.

Fold when you know your beat. Too often players call just on case...
