The tri series creates too many headaches for CA. As for each neutral game played here Australia owes the competing nations a home game each.


The next headache we have is South Africa demanding that we tour overseas during our summer. Until South Africa get 90000 plus to 1 day of a Test match during the same period then we should stay home

This is still confusing to me. It only seems we play in India to make the matches up. How often do we play extra matches in other countries?

Australian games not involving England haven't overly been great for getting large crowds the last few years either though, with the exception of Australia Day matches.

Why don't they offer half price tickets for the neutral matches for the 2nd innings? Or for any match that isn't sold out? If it's an issue not to attend because of work; this would be the right thing to do?

Or chuck the current domestic champs into the mix if its an issue with repaying the ODI's overseas

Australia A would probably be quite a hard thing to get off the ground again due to the money that will be thrown around to players in the new (naft) domestic T20 comp that will be held at around the same time as the ODI's.

I reckon the only way a tri series should be run if one of the other teams is New Zealand. That way when England play New Zealand they can play it in Kiwi land instead of a sparsely populated Australian venue.

If not, seven is too many.

Play as many games as you want against whoever you want. Just make sure they are going to be somethiong close to competitive.

Play as many as you want and you end up with Australia A anyway. Too much cricket the call and rightly so. Shocking tour programme with the world cup a mere twelve days away. I'd piss off the teeball games and two one dayers as well.

Ive NEVER had such little interest in a series than I have in this long winded drawn out win **** all series.

I like the tri series if it is going to be this long (anything more than 3 games), and would take Spelly idea of half price tickets for non-Aussie games and would it be such a bad idea to use some regional venues (as done in the World Cup)

i reckon the last neutral match i went to was south africa & sri lanka (i think) at the adelaide oval & the admission price was heavily reduced compared to an australian game, i reckon i paid $15.00 to go, i know it was a tuesday in january but no idea of the year
