Is that your SA Water meter CP? If so I believe that in the case of stolen or stuck meters they use previous years usage as a basis for estimating your usage.

Yeah it is mate .. We bulldozed our house and started again so the usage for last year was mostly non-existent.

Im not up to speed with it all, but the Mrs said a water bloke has been out there and he said "You shouldn't have said anything" lol.

Either way they go about charging us apparently he's told the missus we will be well in front .. Which is a relief after all of the F'Up's we've had with the new place and the endless $$ people wanna slug ya.

I can confirm it will be an estimation based on the previous usage.

When I built I went through 2 water meters in the first 3 years ... since year 1 was a block with a house being built, usage was next to zero, year 2, water meter karks it, usage based on year 1 which was SFA = thanks very much. Year 3, new meter karks it again, usage is based on year 2 which was based on year 1 with SFA usage = thanks very, very much.

Come to think of it, I should have built a pool then ...

That's what happened with ours not long after we moved in and our garden was young, they sent us a letter advising us we would be notified before they came to replace it, the young garden loved 2 or 3 weeks of constant water 'till it was replaced

Getting my Water Bill ! Yes I do !

I just filled my pool during the billed quarter (68000 L), and my bill was only $46 more then last quarter, AND we used less water filling the pool, and associated cleaning/wetting etc then we did in the corresponding quarter last year !!
