This is prob Div 5 thread stuff but who would be the bottom two then?

I know WC have lost two important players and have been recruiting Rosewaters fringe players

Boosh I think you should be more concerned about the bottom two in Div 6. One or two quality footballers but after that is just a competitive div 7 team. Hatrick relegation on the cards.

Chump, not being involved with Havens at all but I find some of your comments a bit hard to follow. 1st you state Havens only had 10 at training when I got a call the next day to say there were around 30 at training that night. Then say Blackfriars to go underfeated, yet Nth Haven beat them both times last year. Now you say Havens to be relegated. Be interesting to see how that both sides coming down go. But I'm sure 1 wont be relegated and 1 wont go through underfeated.

yeah i was under the impression that the side they had last year was more than capeable of giving this div a shake. didnt realise they had got players in as well!

I guess you guys wont have any idea until round 1 seeing as they have no posters anymore 8)

Their side was OK, they did finish bottom though so I would say they will need some new faces in same as North Haven. I did think they had got a few in but am not certain.

What happened to Sprinttospace? he is a committee member there isn't he?

still around, have a read of these pages every couple of days.
not involved on the committee this year boosh, but yes have had a bit of a role to play over the last 5 years.
unsure of any in's but have heard that there are no outs to date which is a great sign for the club.
looking forward to watching and encouraging the lads in 2011 and helping out around the place on game day. who knows, the last time we played in div 6 we took the chocolates :)

Here's an idea, figure out what you are talking about then start making some sense. I was actually talking about how the teams performed last year as indicated by the ladder of last season.

To clear it up for you I have outlined some definitions that may make things a bit easier for you in the future

Definition of Forum
S: (n) forum (a public meeting or assembly for open discussion)
S: (n) forum, assembly, meeting place (a public facility to meet for open discussion)

Definition of Prediction
S: (n) prediction, anticipation, prevision (the act of predicting (as by reasoning about the future))
S: (n) prediction, foretelling, forecasting, prognostication (a statement made about the future)

It's a long shot but i didn't think we would get relegated last year at the start of the season but we did easily, shows how much I know

What's happening with the "b" grade coach sprint, notice you advertised in the Sunday mail on the weekend. It's getting a bit late to be looking for a coach, Did you have one appointed already?

i did see that on sunday. i don't think one had been appointed for 2011. i guess it is getting a bit tight now that pre seasons are well underway. i'm sure one will be found.

My appologies for earlier Sprint. Also I do find it slightly strange for a last minute advertisment for a B Grade Coach. I just assumed you had appointed someone and he must have stepped down for one reason or another. But I'm sure you will still find someone decent.
Is it today that clearances open??

I believe they do as I was asked about a clearance for one of our 18's from last season.

Will be very interesting to see the clearances for this year with many clubs trying to work out who has carry over points from last year and then work out which players will attract points for this year and how many. Do any clubs on here know how many carry over points they have from last year?? I stand to be corrected but I believe CLG have 3 carry over points for this year with the players they have lost. Any other teams???

Anyone know the consequences for playing a game above their allocated points??

I think Havens will have only one player with carry over points thats our coach Matt Rowlands who played for Birdwood in 2009, not sure if that is 1 or 2 points.

Our ruckman played the first half of 2009 for port reserves but the second half for us and all of 2010 so i would have thought he would be 0 points but not certain

I think the players points will be printed on the team sheet out of iscore so it would just be a matter of adding them up before you submit the teamsheet.

Won't affect haven though as I doubt we would get near 10 points let alone 15

Its not the end of the world as im sure the A Grade coach would have been running training anyway. We lost our A Grade coach the week of the first game last year and still managed

That was quick. Yeah was last season but I think the change in coach didn't have too much bearing on that other than maybe we would have won the first game if we had a coach in place by then.

The damage was already done by the coach in 2009 and both OB and Roller were working toward the same goal of repairing the damage. Both are well respected coaches so I think we didn't lose out too much in the end.
