Using what metric? Grand Final loss margins?

Thats a huge coup for glenunga! Did he go alright in divvy 4 last year one eyed?

He did! Was told though to pull his finger out at Fitzroy and he told them where to go. On a deal with Bourke where he only has to train one night a week. Will cut up Div 7

Ahh Morell you're either young or had one too many head knocks. Biggest Club in that Ingle Farm were a huge club of the 70s and 80s. SAFA matches were screened on TV back when you were probably in your nappies and the mighty Green and White dominated. The Doggies were a huge SAFA club but have struggled in their move to the SAAFL and Div 7 is as low as you go. No current club in Div 7 could boast the record of Ingle Farm even after the past 2 horror seasons. David Payne was also on your screens in the 80s as that Norwood legendary Rover and he would be by far the highest credentialed coach in this grade.

His club before fitzroy told him where to go I'm led to believe. Should do well in div 7 if up and fit

You're right DW. Voigt should carve up Div 7 and is a great pick up for Mitchell Park. Am I right DW in suggesting he's working in the mines and will only play a handful? Still a good get though for MPFC.

Nope, not working in the mines.
But his work, plus family commitments will keep him occupied.
He's a good bloke too and the guys at MP will find him good socially.

As i remember it, it was a tightly fought game for the 1st 3 quarters before IF blew you away.

Also remember IF being some 10 goals up at half time in the return match and MP chewing them in and winning..

That would be Damien I think, played at Salisbury West last year. Will be a very good player in Div 7, similar style to his brother but not quite on the same level.

Glenunga's B grade will be awesome this year. With all their allocated points used up each week the old B grade at Glenunga is going to get a strong 'Top Up' from the A's. How many recruits will play B grade out at Glenunga due to a 'Full House' particularly early when there are no injuries.

If you can name me the guys that add up to 15 points I'll give you a gold star Jugs. Guess what, you won't be able to :P

So many rumours....I can categorically tell you that not every player that has been mentioned as "going to Glenunga" is in fact coming!!

Due to a cancellation, Glenunga is now looking to host a trial game on Sunday March 13th at Webb Oval. Please PM me if interested and we can discuss it.

Cheers

Not talking it up as there is nothing to be gained from being a January hero. I think Glenunga and Mawson Lakes and to a slightly lesser extent Ingle Farm are still the pre-season favourites. We could also benefit quite greatly from a big-bodied, talented, booming left footer, full forward with a surname starting with B - know anyone fitting that description?

If Batesy has returned I reckon those odds of 51/1 has all of a sudden dropped dramatically!

If Damien Bates has returned from Murrayville to Mitchell Park, there is another 100 goal a season Div 7 player. If he plays the full year, Mitchell Park WILL be Top 3 IMO.
haha, nah, he hasn't returned, that was more a hopeful plea as I believe he frequents these forums...

I did hear he will play for anyone that promises to fix Triple J's Hottest 100.

hey morell are the 2 macca boys still runnin around down there this year ?

There has been so much talk and hype about Glenunga's recruiting and how we are going to be extremely strong this year.

What no-one has mentioned though is there are about 6 walk up A Graders from last year that are moving on for various reasons. 3 of whom who have previously been in the top 3 in Best and Fairest counts. Thank goodness for the recruiting, otherwise there would have been a step backwards again!
