That one actually surprised me.
Thought it would be like the other sequels since the original cast left (except Eugene Levy) which have been just terrible.
But got quite a few laughs out of this one.

Started watching this last night think, "oh shit typical Aussie movie" but it was pretty bloody funny and I oddly enjoyed it .. Maybe it was just because Dee Smart was in it

Question: Does Susie Porter ever make a movie where she doesnt take her clothes off?

Even though it's more a collection of skits than anything else, Bruno has some funny as hell moments...

Watched two new releases yesterday.

True Grit: Set in the Wild West in the mid 1800's (at a guess).
It's the story of a 14 year old girl, who rocks up in town to capture her father's murderer.
She enlists the help of an old, one-eyed bounty hunter and a Texas Ranger (played by "Maaaaattttt Daaaaaaaayyyyymon") and the three head out on the trail of the killer.
Has some great spots of dry old-fashioned western humour and an excellent story line.
All the main characters I found brilliant. Should be up for some awards this flick. Not too lengthy either. I'd rate it 4.5/5. It loses half a point due to lack of prostitutes/or boobs in film, which were prevalent in old western towns of that era.

The King's Speech: Well, I walked in a bit late and f#ck me, I couldn't find a seat to save myself, the place was packed. So down the front row I went. Front and centre. I've heard rave reviews about the movie and to be honest, it lived up to it. Colin Firth as young Prince Bertie has a shocking stammer, especially in public speaking. After heaps of unsuccessful treatment, he finally comes across an Aussie expat speech pathologist (played by Geoffrey Rush) who, with his unusual methods eventually begins to make progress with the soon to be king. It's one of those films packed with tension, especially every time the prince speaks. I'm giving it 4.5/5 as well. Again, lack of nudity. Rush and Firth will probably be nominated for an Oscar for their roles. Both sensational and utterly convincing as different and difficult characters.

PS: A huge throng of elderly people were in the audience, and applauded once the movie had finished. Not something seen every day.
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

I've been watching Despicable Me with the junior Perm of late, but truth be told I like it more than he does .. One of the most enjoyable (for adults) kids movies going around I reckon.

Watched The Kings Speech on Tues night myself OnSong. Brilliant movie, very entertaining.

Colin Firth in particular deserves an Oscar nomination, to maintain that stutter must've taken a lot of hard work.

Three Boys Dreaming was worth a look last night on the ABC.

Though I knew within thirty seconds that the lazy kid from Tassie wasn't gonna make it.

Same for the kid from Western Sydney who needed to be shown how to kick properly...

The Fighter is pretty solid.

Typical Hollywood rags-to-riches story.

Christian Bale's eyes must've lit up when he read script: flashy, Oscar-winning role right here!

However, it ends on the WRONG fight...
