Nick Menza from Ex - Megadeth I saw in 1990 and totally blew me away!!!

Keith Moon would be my pick. He had some weird drum patterns. :D

Absolutely...

Tommy Aldridge is another favourite of mine. No doubt Mike Portnoy will get a mention soon.

Midnight Oil were one of my favourite bands growing up and i own every album .... but come on guys seriously are we showing our age haha . Rob Hirst !!!!!!
Fairly straight forward drumming.

Carey is rediculously good and Portnoy no slouch either.

I know its a greatest drummers of all time thread , but interested to see peoples views on australian drummers

I put Lucius Borich ( Cog ) at the top of the chart for those i ve seen live . Steve Judd ( Karnivool ) very complex drumming . And Ben Ellingworth ( MM9 ) for sheer quickness of his hands .

hard to truly rate his drumming when they have someone else on percussion. Yeah he records it all but certainly cannot play all you hear on their recordings live. but yeah he goes ok

Keith Moon and John Bonham in my top 5. Love Moons style with the sticks.
