Playford Alive Oval !!

Postby PhilH » Mon Jan 24, 2011 2:31 pm

Playford Alive Oval appears to be the new name for Hamra Homes Oval, nee NAP Oval, nee ELizabeth Oval according to a schedule I just read.

Having spent years trying not to get Hamra Homes and House Brothers confused on air, now they appear to have both gone.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing over the weekend Phil, made mention of it in the 2011 SANFL Draw thread...

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=31255&p=1190461#p1190461

Interestingly, nothing has been mentioned officially from CDFC either to members or through the media and when I drove past their oval yesterday afternoon, the sign at the front gate still said 'Welcolme to Hamra Homes Oval'.

The Liberal Party supporters of the 50's and 60's would be thrilled to hear that oval name, I'd guess.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Depends on whether PhilH still wants to take up the Annual Membership Match bet again in season 2011?

I know the CDFC certainly appreciated having PhilH as a member last season ;)

Not to mention Fairmont Homes the very generous sponsors of the mighty Redlegs.
In the battle of the builders Norwood are very much in front !
In the battle of the beers ....... well that is a one horse race. Coopers wins by the length of the straight.

Let me guess the same council doesn't also have a disused horse racing track in its boundaries too

Playford Alive as a sponsor would be a major achievement, a long term project of this magnitude means a long term sponsor. More houses equals more kids equals more future players. formal announcement tomorrow, if this is true! ;)
