Not really a cop out, the way I did it was to create a worksheet of questions for the kids to answer while they watched, quiz the kids at the end of each story, and then mark them as the kids finished. I wish it was just a case of putting the dvd on and sitting back with my feet up!

I had black suede ripple soled boots in 1960 and 1961.
Ripple soles have been around a long time, and fashions keep coming back.
I wonder if I shall ever regret disposing of my wide, and colourful, seersucker ties from the 1970s!?

In the 70's rockers (or wanna be rockers) use to wear ripples. Surfies (or wanna be surfies) wore levis for feet (there's a fashion statement) or lace up Ugg Boots.

I hope not. If they ever come back into fashion life as we know it is over. They were beyond bad taste in a decade that made bad taste its own  ;)

I can't be bothered going over the past 20 odd pages, so please forgive me if it's already been mentioned

Going up to the roof of Cox Foys (I think it was) with my Dad for the playground and a ride on the Ferris Wheel, while Mum did her shopping.

They have made a small come back, saw a couple pairs @ Prospect in 2010

I think I had my last pair in about 85 or 86, were comfortable and great for ripping skin off my brothers shins ;)

Anyone remember those backpacks that kids were wearing to school, started in the mid/late 80's. They were made of a yellow material. I didnt have one myself but they were quite popular for a while there.

Yeah, they were huge. Most kids used to write band names or draw band logos on them, so much so kids looked like try-hards if they had one unmarked. All the cool kids used to have them. And my bag was school-bought with a big school logo on it
Then in the early 90's those Puma bags were huge with the double-zip and velcro on the end, and end pockets, either navy or black.

Coles in Rundle Mall (across from the Renaissance Tower).

When playgrounds had equipment that was actually really fun, wasn't covered underneath with bark chips or made of plastic, and that if we fell off, we didn't get our parents to sue the school. The playground at my first primary school, Henley Beach Primary, had some fantastic stuff there, mainly metal, that kept us quiet for hours.

Riding a bike to school and not being driven there.

Sunnyboys (the drink but also the band), Razz, Snip's and Glug's.

When the "Munch and Crunch" lunches were introduced into schools - it was around 1983, I reckon. A box filled with things like a small box of sultanas, an apple, cheese - a first really healthy lunch (made a change from things like crumbed sausages, which I loved)

Writing your favorite band names on your pencil case at school, which was probably the sort where you cut out the gold letters to place in the slots on the front for your name.

Listening each night to the all-request 5KA (and then, KA-FM) Top 20 countdown, with Paul Barry (not the political journalist), and taping some of the songs, rather than buying them.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

T-Ball was always a favourite teacher cop-out.

In addition to ripples, my brothers also owned Ciak's...

Didn't it close then re-open or something to do with the Bridgeway stealing the name for a while?
It's all the SANFL's fault.

There you go Footy Chick. There was no such thing as a Bogan in the 1970's. No doubt LL wore Romes or Doc Martins with Red Socks with the rolled up jeans.
