Played a double or nothing sitngo last night, was a pain, no one wanted to bet for fear of losing chips, they just wanted to sit back and wait for others to bomb out

The strategy with the double or nothing SnG's is different to a 'normal' SnG...

The games are 10 handed with 1500 chips each.... so u have a total of 15,000 chips in play. Using ICM if u get to just over 3000 in chips then u really dont want to get involved in too many pots unless u have the nuts. As u said, people dont want to give chips up, so when in late position its a great time to raise and steal the blinds... there are a lot of books, sites, articles with strategy, hand ranges etc..

When playing 'micro' stakes u can really overbet your good hands because they are likely to get paid off more often, but at the same time bluffing less because your more likely to get called...

Limit strategy = dont chase draws, dont bluff, and raise and re raise when u are good :D

basic but successful if u can be disciplined enough to do it

Been sneaking a few SnG's in at work (trying to prove to myself that I can actually play the game sober) .. Had my worst day today, played 4 x $6.50 45-runners and on the last I managed a 4th place, so only lost about $2 for the day.

Nah Ive never tried the bigger fields .. I much prefer my chances of a top 3 finish and decent return in the smaller fields
