My thigh pad must sound a bit woody :( Poor ump did make a few blunders (No.3 Rove McManus lookalike for Fitzroy smashed the cover off the ball with his LBW) but I'd still rather have a neutral official each week at that umpires end than have each team do it.

Apparently the council watered the ground in the morning and the pitch was under water just before the commencement of play so a one day game was arranged.
Approx 2 hours after play shouldve commenced the pitch was pretty much dried up, and a Seaton player reported it to the assoc.

How does this become a forfeit if both captains agreed to play a One dayer the following week? Just find it a bit funny if a agreement was agreed upon.

@ 11am the pitch was covered in water so the paralowie capt. done the right thing and rang seaton (as to save them traveling all the way out to paralowie for no play) was agreed on the phone for a one dayer next week. the association was informed as was the umpires director. Then at 1.22pm a voicemail was recieved from seaton saying "wingfield oval is available and if paralowie dont rock up its a forfiet"

then seaton in there wisdom ring the score's through to the paper as seaton having a forfiet.

the above i know is fact.

then apparantly a seaton bowler isnt happy that he doesnt get the chance to catch the leading wicket taker so his upset....

well f@#k me is he serious??? and anyway i thought if week1 of a 2week game is washed out the one dayer week2 is played under 2 day conditions??? so he can bowl as many as he wants anyway!
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

So are you playing this week or have the pulled a sly one? Surely if Paralowie have rang the Assoc and it is all confirmed with them, then surely a forfeit couldnt happen?
