HFL umpiring are recruiting and looking very strong for 2011.
I heard a former HFL A-Grade coach was seen at umpires training this week being measured for his whistle and whites.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

where do gum get the money i thought they were nearly broke a couple of years ago. Switala has been linked to more clubs than marc cox i dont expect cox to be at Kesy this year try north clare at this stage.

kicknback, these are facts mate yes gumeraca made a offer to switala there was a 'yes i'm in' given then the offer fell through so therfore will not be at gumeraca in season 2011 and the offer was'nt as much as 1000 mate it was a good offer but not that good.

IMO i believe after getting his body right he'll play at elizabeth but as i said that is just my opinion......

I dont think people should assume that the posters on the Div 4 forum have a handle on the facts any better than the posters on this one.

Birdwood's Draw

Postby HB_Flanker » Fri Jan 14, 2011 11:35 am

Owen has a great sense of humour,

After Birdwood made all the noise and commotion coming in to Country to them not wanting to play in competition with the likes of Sedan and Cally,

Round one Callington at home
Round two Sedan away
Round three Kangarilla

They'll be spewing - HFL has the last laugh

By the end of round three they'll be top with about 1000%

 inspiring start to the season for the birdwood guys! I think after a few years not winning many games, a few of the guys, especially those who have been there through it all, will be really keen to have a successful season back in Country. I wish them all the best!

Will the night games between Kersbrook and Birdwood start back up again? Used to be an absolute highlight!

Not sure they would have known, but they will now. Probably trying to increase payment either way. Didn't Ben Hanna play some games for Loby a couple of years ago and leave back to Gum?

heard there were money reasons in leaving lobethal.... he shops himself around quite abit trying to find the best amount of coin!! he had his way with one of the clubs managers daughters so that might influence his choice in heading over!!! either or gum wont be happy

I think they did offer Hanna 600 a game a while back so i would say that would have had some influence. Big loss for Gum if true.

My sources tell me that the club has had verbal assurance from them both they will stick at Gum. Hanna left Lobey cause he didnt like it there, not money. Matt Prowse works for the ex President major sponsor of the club.
Both players are potential Mail Medal winners so would be a knife through the heart of the club if they left.

He didnt like it there because he wasnt gettin paid enough coin that was the reason!! he stuffed around with birdwood in the same year aswell so he has the reputation to shop himself around for the best offer!! i heard they are offering 400 at hanna this year but in a team like mt barker the chances of him gettin through there midfield are very slim so cant see why they would waste that much money on him!!! only other thing is he maybe be telling gum that they have offered this much so then he can get more money there!!! and they are both no chance of a mail medal im sorry
