This was the right time to bat QUINNEY as the opener, they didnt, HODGE opened with whoever the other opener wuz
The new opener failed

PAINE not playing
TA opted to open with 2 new openers for this game WELLS and LOCKYEAR
COSGROVE the regular opener was demoted to the middle order
WELLS hits 50, on debut, and man of the match

He is only a midget but he goes allright that wells lad. Bailey was awesome aswell.
Good toss to win for Tas. The pitch had heaps of gremlins early

LOCKYEAR strikes at 159 in this format, quite possibly the most destructive AU bred batsman around that can open
Cant believe COSGOVE who strikes at about 100 has opened b4 him in 2 games this year
When will teams learn 20/20 is a different game

Funny you say that about treating T20 like baseball. All you need for T20 is a good eye. Heard a call on radio say he thinks half the adelaide bite side would make decent runs. Would be an interesting experiment to grab the bites 2 best batsman and see how they go in the nets. I have a feeling a few balls might get lost

HOGAN was awesome tonight
Cannot believe the improvement from previous seasons
His 4/26 was the equal of Marsh in my opinion

There just seems to be a lot of injuries at the WACA
Is it a hard surface ?
WA fast bowlers have suffered their share of injuries the last few years
Tonight Marsh, Bravo both left the ground with injuries incurred by landing on the outfield
Brett Dorey also injured himself during a bowling spell

The talk about Hussey being less than likely to make the cup, and now the cover bat is sore (did you see him try and make any on side shot? talk about pain)... Who would be next off the ranks? Mr Hodge I presume...

Not a chance in hell unfortunately. The selectors will pick anyone but him

Don't think he is in the picture.

Marsh IMO.

If Marsh is injured I mean... He's been named the back-up, but if he is injured...

Paine is the cover batsmen, Finch is hitting them ok also..... Christo may be a chance if 2 dont make the cup! id say Marsh will be sore for a day or 2 and be fine, however Hussey is a bigger worry

Despite some quality returns in the Ashes, I don't think it'd be bad for M Huss to miss the Cup.

Not a huge fan of pinning our hopes on a 36 year old plodder...
