Have they now been allowed 15? Even so, thats just one more 3 point player.

Yes, TV applied to the board for extra points on the basis that they lost 7 A grader's from their 2010 side so the board granted them an extra 3 points.

This was all done before the AGM but was conveniently kept quiet until after.

Would be 7 minimum I would suspect.

Its probably fair enough.

Fair enough because why? If it was because they think there is more of a class difference between country and central then fair enough. Otherwise I disagree immensely!

Because of the difference plus losing all those players. Its only 3 points remember, one player.

That is a fair few of there key players! That has put them back a long way, and hurt there chances of success alot. the loss of two mail medalists cant help at all, Mcdowell will be hard to replace

That's true, but I have to wonder: if you prep your club, players and administration for such a step (into a higher div) and 7 walk for whatever reason, isn't that just part of footy? IF any other existing club has an exodus will their points be adjusted? Batpad, i totally see your point, it probably won't make all that much difference, but an allowance that no other team got nonetheless.

You make a fair point. I would like to hope so, whats good for one should be good for all. But, as I think you were getting at, that may not be the case.

Well put there guys and i think i would have to agree with you in the regard that if Ironbank had lost williams , wendlebourne , C. Smith , Muiden , Yoemans x 2 and Ferguson i wouldnt think the HFL would have allowed any xtra points to the thunder train , have Shanty been granted any xttra points this season for losing bever and Conner ( i have herd he has moved on ) Healy or any others ??? No offence to Shanty or Loby but if anyone needs extra points to strengthen them up it would be them and loby not TV ???

I have to agree also i think that Lobey and Bridgey would be on the max of 15 anyway. Also i have heard that Lobey may have picked up a couple more from Norwood and are chasing the Bratton's would be very handy for them being 0 pointers, anyone know more?

Why, last year TV were saying they were easily a better side than Lobey, Bridgy, Birdwood, Hahndorf and Ironbank and that they would've made the finals in Div 1, so why would you give a mid range team the same points as the bottom teams?

If you don't care so much V, can you put to death the little whisper that I heard - a man in a red Everlast cap in a white ute, notepad in hand overlooking TV's first training?

hi jq
happy new year old mate
i can assure you that when i go incognito at a closed door opposition training session i am sure to leave my infamous hilux in the driveway back at verdun... usually take one of my many luxury company cars with thick window tinting. also i always watch the footy in my black everlasting cap... the red everlast cap only comes out for special occaisions (weddings, births, public holidays etc). anyway i would rather watch a mt lofty game than watch tv train!!!
V.
ps thanks bp i will make sure i am on a business trip on monday.

hi yp
not sure if it is the same man you speak of. i dont usually bother with the trivial details (such as peoples surnames).
i can tell you though he is a hulking unit with a booming leg. and lets not forget his previously mention 200+ games (junior).
he is a very impressive specimen.
