Nathan Bracken

When did this handy bowler slip into the wilderness?
Haven't heard anything about him in ages.
Did he retire? Is he still playing for NSW?
Would be a handy inclusion for the Aus team now.

Wasn't that long ago he was just about the best limited overs bowler going around.

Had a few knee issues and missed a lot of cricket. Trying to get back to form and fitness now I think.

Thanks for that lads.
I reckon Australia would love to have someone like him over in India for the WC.

Would be a shoe-in if he'd been playing...

Still don't understand why 7/4 didn't play more Test cricket...

Good point Graham, but his last Test was five years ago...

In that time he has been the best new ball bowler in ODI's for Australia (if not the world), and has dominated for NSW in the Shield, when most people only need the Baggy Blue to get a gig, so I think, especially when we have been trying to fill the McGrath/Gillespie void, he would have been ideal as a striker, rather than a third seamer behind the above two...

Too late now, IMO, but he was poorly treated...

Not a red ball bowler at international level IMO.

I just don't think he had enough penetration with his bowling to get a bloke out. They could sit on him, pick him off for a few singles and not be too troubled by him. One day cricket though, the batsmen can't afford that so much and go after him, that was when he got his success.

Hardly been much to choose from but I guess if Bruce Rood hadn't of fallen apart so often he'd be right up there.
