You cant have blokes being king hit (even if they are wearing a helmet) and then being kicked in the head when they are on the ground

They give a bloke 16 games for throwing a stump at the crowd a few years ago yet an all in brawl is to be swept away with no penalties

what makes it worse is that there was an official umpire at the game who should be told he is no longer required for his part in it all

PDCA = shambles

It's unfair to bag the PDCA when all parties have kept it from them.

Sorry LM, the people at PDCA who need to know about the incident do know about it, the umpire wrote an incident report and both clubs were asked to write their report of the incident which has been done and recieved by the PDCA.

OK mate, I was told that both clubs sorted it out on the day and were having some mediation this week to iron out the rest and that the umpire had agreed to remain hush about it and let the clubs deal with it.
Obviously you know more about the situation and proceedings, our B's are playing Playford this week so it would be nice to have a bit of insight into what happened.

Both clubs did sort out the incident on the day, the game was stopped for 10-15 minutes while both teams grouped together and worked it out, the game continued and both teams shook hands after the game.

The umpire definatly included the incident in his report and the clubs have been asked a please explain, there will definatly be some sort of mediation i would imagine, as far as reports and suspensions i havent been told where PDCA stance with that is.

I would be more than happy to start chasing around sponsors/ovals/equipment if ANYONE from ANY comp is interesting in doing something to help our fellow Australians in this time of need.

I have spent the last 20minutes or so posting a similar post to this one on a soccer forum and I have already recieved an offer of $500 to help cover insurance costs for the day.. Start digging deep people!

I don't think that it would be a bad idea... it takes alot of organising tho to start a day like that tho. People would have to start getting stuff in order straight away. Ringing clubs, finding time etc etc. I would be more than happy to participate in the game, and on the day help out with anything that needs to be done etc, but I dont have the time to start organising anything. Duck-Mann, if you build it, they will come.

I wasn't there, but even if it was sorted out on the day, you can't have someone hit someone, say sorry and then move on.

Whats to stop someone from doing it this weekend then? If they don't punish this guy, how can they punish anyone else?

Ive also posted on 'facebook' on some of the clubs from the PDCA i could find. Like I said, Im happy to start chasing things up straight away. Even if Like OKC! you are only available to play (I would say on a SUNDAY!!!) let me know ASAP or even just to show up, buy a beer and drop a coin in a collection bucket ALL help counts! Days like this are pointless if there is no crowd!!!

Liquor license is easy, you can just apply for a day license through the council i believe, it cost around $40?

get the associations to sanction it and it will then be covered under the JLT insurance that each club has
or if they dont want to do it
ring Cricket Australia tell them what you are trying to organise and see what they can do

As for insurance, if players are registered wont they be covered by insurance from the assoc? Otherwise just make them sign a waiver :P

Just remember though, with a liquor license you'll need a RSA person to be present all day...
