WTF is up with Warner? He has become more of a grafter than a big hitter

O'Keefe, Smith and Paine arent up to it yet...thats the difference, we pick players and hope, the English know their guys can/will perform.

warner agreed but perhaps he's been told to play that way

o'keefe, he probably got his game on his game at the same ground against the redbacks a couple of weeks ago, however now he's in he has to be given a chance

smith, agreed, if he isn't going to bowl & he wont too often at T20 level, he shouldn't be in

paine, well he wasn't given an opportunity tonight was he ?...should at least be in front of run accumulator hussey

ps, did i see this morning that it said on the updated news scroll at the bottom of the tv that hilditch wont stand down, fair enough if you haven't got the cattle your not good enough but when you make a statement lke he did at the end of the 5th test he should be told ''your services are no longer required''......it's all gone pear shaped since merv got the chop

And Tait Lee Johnson as your 'main' bowlers is gifting 100 runs away. Can any of these guys change their pace occasionally?

tait was let down by the fieldsman...i recall his game versus tassie he got paine first ball & another (possibly dichton) with the 2nd ball & after we had scored an ordinary total those 2 wickets changed the game & had o'keefe held the catch & a 2nd wicket fell quickly all of a sudden an ordinary total looks better/bigger...he is also there to get batsmen out not contain them

Totally agree Bayman- That first ball catch gets taken and game is different- You have Tait in purely for wicket taking, but he isnt bowling full enough to worry anyone (except for the wicket he got). Tait in to take wickets, but why have we got Lee and Johnson in there?

Absolutely MAL.
He's definitely underdone as he was when he played for the redbacks.

Mitch baby can't bowl line and length at test level, not sure how he gets a gig at T20 level.
In saying that I would've put him up the order as soon as HUssey got out.

Can we select Klinger and Harris next 20/20 game, in place of Hussey and Smith
That would give us 6 opening batsman ....

I know it's fashionable to sink the slipper into Tait a bit (done it myself a few times) but he has only played a couple of games since coming back from injury. Also I don't know how many on here saw the last one-day World Cup in '07 in the Caribbean but not only did Tait dominate but over the course of a whole tournament it was the best fast bowling I've ever seen.

I'm not saying he still does have that in him or that he'll come good at this World Cup next month but when you have a player that can destroy international cricket like that you have to pick them.

Why we lost:

1: We didn't score enough after a decent platform.
2: Finch should've batted earlier, T20 debut, too much pressure to get a decent score and not fail.
3: Bevan Hussey batted too high, was too worried about protecting his wicket and then struggled to middle the ball when it mattered.
4: Smith is caught in no mans land, he's in there for his hitting ability, he was too worried about protecting his wicket aswell.
5: As someone else stated, 3 express pace bowlers was an overkill.
6: Lee's 19th over, 2 full tosses  One of them on leg stump, we were lucky the game didn't end in that over. WTF is he doing in the side anyway, his theatrics have always bothered me and still do, carrying on like we just won the world cup just because he held(just) a simple catch, come on, tickets please.

Oh come on, he has been a shining light in the shorter version games for us for the past 2 years, I never used to like him but he has definetely grown on me, I think test skipper is a bit out of the question though.

Well summed up as always mate. I thought O'Keefe showed some balls (literally) to toss a 3rd one up to Pietersen which bought his downfall.

Ian Bell looked really good (batting 6 in the Test team too  )... If O'Keefe held his catch, coulda been a different result.

KevinPark is the best hitter in world cricket.... :D

Brett Lee impressed with pace and enthusiasm... if he doesn't hurt himself, give him a WC spot!

Watto... finally doing it! Go boy!
