Mrs REB has been an absolute champion working at the evac centre in the Ippy showground and my boys aren't all that impressed with my cooking but they could get another serving of crap a la REB tonight.

Ipswich is cut off to the East and West and the Trumpy Bridge is impassable and it could go under today. Unbelievable.

I say tie them to a bridge pylon so just their heads are visible, then if the water keeps rising so be it. Dog act indeed.

REB is it raining again in the switch ?? Footage on c7 was showing it raining again :(
I spent 6 months working in Brissy in 2009 and the suburb i was living in Bulimba is a very low area on the river and will be flooded very soon . The house i was living in would be just about underwater when it peaks .
Good on you REB for all the hard work you and Mrs REb are doing hope you and family are safe and to all other sa footy members in brissy i hope you are all safe and sound as well .

Drove into work via Hale St (right alongside Suncorp Stadium, but on the "high" side). One lane covered by about 3-4 inches of water. Spent whole morning cancelling non-essential stuff over next few days, then got booted by boss. Driving home past the same point on Hale St - its now under a metre of water,

Not raining in the swich at the moment and it hasn't all day...it's even sunny! Mrs REB is working hard anyhow...very quiet here at the moment as people have already evactuated their homes and the calls to Council probably won't fire up again until the water recedes and people need help cleaning up the joint. That job will be massive.

The Local Govt Assoc here in SA has just released a circular saying that they're putting together teams of workers to send up to help Councils up there with the re-construction effort. Hopefully similar is happening in other states.

I went on a re-building team after the fires went through Marysville last year with the church I go to...

I would be thinking that there will be at least one or more teams sent up to help again after the floods to help in the clean up...

Just to give me some perspective, when I was up there in July I dined at the Jellyfish restuarant on the Brisbane River, I presume that would be under water now?

"It's on the river, they don't cover flood" :(

Be bloody heartbreaking watching your business wash away like that.
